I love dogs, especially bigger playful dogs that think they are lap dogs! I'm currently employed to take care of two special needs children and they have a black lab who is the most playful dog (and smartest) that I know! I've been working with children for 6 years and I've done a lot more pet-sitting in the past 2 years than normal. My apartment is a garage apartment so I can't hold many dogs there, but this would be a lot more comfortable and easier for me to do than house sitting/going to another home to sit the dogs (although I can still do this if requested!). I live with the family that has the special needs children that I take care of and they have 3 dogs and a cat. Two of their dogs (Coco and Skarlet) really don't care about other dogs as long as they don't bother them, but Halo (the playful Lab) loves other dogs! However, if requested it is definitely possible to keep both parties separate to avoid any conflicts. I can take care of puppies but because there are other dogs around I require that they already have all of their shots/vaccinations taken care of! I have taken care of dogs that require medication before, so that is no problem (although I am no vet, but there is a pet clinic nearby if needed). I generally work where I live during most of the summer, so I can easily let the dogs out at my own place every couple of hours. The only time they would have to wait a while would be if I take the children to Dave and Busters or the Movies; although even then it wouldn't be very long.
