Licensed Vet Tech, Fun, Knowledge

Pet care experience

I'm a licensed veterinary technician. I love working with animals & their humans! I am patient, outgoing, and calm in stressful situations. I have more in depth knowledge of animals (whether it's their behavior, nutrition, exercise, medications). I am open to pet sitting for cats and other pets as well. I have been dog sitting since I was 10, but have been around dogs/pets my whole life! I have experience with pregnant dogs, neonatal care, senior care, & special needs care. I know how to properly administer diets, oral & injectable medications. Whether your pet is young or older, you can rest assured that I will care for them as if they were my own. Pets truly are family and will be treated as such.

This was the fourth time that Randi watched my cats. Always does an amazing job. Highly trust her with my boys!

Randi did a superb job. She is a Vet Tech and is currently working at a Veterinarian Hospital so I felt good that she would know if there was an emergency. I felt quite comfortable leaving my precious kitty with her. She sent me a picture with comments everyday. We were gone for 10 days & upon our return Lizzie was healthy & happy. And we even found a hand written daily log as to her activities.

Randi was FANTASTIC!!! I have a cat that has to have a pill twice a day and it was wonderful to know that he was being taken care of while I was gone. She was able to give him his pills with no problem and that really helped me to relax on my vacation. I would recommend Randi to anyone who needs a reliable pet sitter!! She also sent daily picture updates of both of my cats for me so I could see that they were being taken care of!! Thank you again, Randi! I will see you again!!

Randi is a terrific petsitter! My cat received great care and attention from Randi. I'll definitely book her again when I go out of town.

I require a fenced in yard for pets if your pet will not walk on a leash. In-ground fences are a no go for me as I have personally witnessed many dogs and cats zoom past those barrier lines in neighborhoods. I take care to make sure that messes of any kind are cleaned up before leaving. Pets are examined after each visit to make sure there are no skin or other concerns that have occurred (this pertains more to dogs going outside). Cats who like to be left alone, will be left alone so as not to stress them out even more than they already are with a stranger in the home.

Information Randi W. would like to know about your pet

I must have proof of current Rabies vaccination before I am willing to pet sit - it is South Carolina State Law that all pets be vaccinated yearly. I would like to know if the pet has any illnesses/diseases/conditions and if there are diet restrictions or medications and what times they need to be given. Does your pet not like to be pet or picked up a certain way? Are they sensitive to noises? Do they like to be leash walked or just let out in the backyard? I do not have breed preferences.

A typical day

I generally like to ask each individual owner what each individual pet likes. I base my visits off how the pet feels about me, what they typically like to do, and what the owner needs to have done.

I am a full time licensed Veterinary Technician and a full time mom to 1 human and 3 senior dogs. I make time in the early mornings and late afternoons/early evenings to pet sit, that way your pet gets a fair amount of attention. Weekends are different as I have more open time.
