**Make sure to read!** I'm a true dog lover with one pup of my own (Dipper, 2.5 year old medium sized mutt!) that travels with me full time in my van. I know it's unusual to ask someone to book you for a housesit when your own dog will be in tow, so I'm making sure to be clear about this up front (more about Dipper below!). You should only make a request with me if you are OK with my pup coming along. I spent about a year Rovering and having a great time when I was more rooted and before I had a pup of my own. I'm hoping to find housesits along my journey as I try and figure out where I will be living next! I have experience sitting dogs, cats, fish and plants and I truly love it all! I'm versed in giving medications and pride myself on being able to follow a complicated schedule. It's not my favorite thing to do, but I did once housesit for a cat that needed daily insulin injections with no incident. I'm pretty active and depending on your instructions would love to walk your pets while you are away (maybe not the fish) and spend lots of time with them outside. A little bit about my dog in tow - Dipper is an incredibly sweet pup that loves to play with other dogs and also loves to snuggle up and have a nap. If there is more than one dog that he is meeting for the first time - he needs just a few minutes to get all the sniffing out of the way and then is just fine. He does NOT do well with male, unaltered dogs. That would not be a good fit! I'm hoping to find pets to sit in Eugene, OR as I get a feel for the town. Ideally, your dog will like to play with others and having another along for the journey would be a bonus! My rates are significantly lower than they usually would be to accommodate this uncommon situation and I'm open to chatting about them to suit your needs.
