Pet care experience
Growing up in a household where fur babies out numbered human babes, adventures were often spent with a dog by my side. The key to communicating with dogs lies in attitude and body language - confidence is vital to obtain a dogs attention and respect - while including a loving and attentive approach. Observing animals behavior and getting to know their personalities, and building a rapport with each of them, is pivotal for the well-being of both parties. Since moving to San Diego, I have been able to explore city with dogs of all shapes, sizes, breeds, and personalities! I love running around and being playful, making the effort to give high-energy dogs the outlet they need to expel energy.
Reviews
Rachel provided exceptional care for my cat for the week I was away. Their attention to detail, genuine affection for animals, and regular photo updates made them a true cat whisperer. Highly recommended!
Rachel is super sweet and accommodating. Our dog really enjoyed his time with her! We will definitely call on her again the next time we are in San Diego!
My sweet Cleo just loves spending time with Rachel and trusts her 100%. She very attentive and patient with her. Cleo is very picky and never hesitated when she met Rachel. I definitely recommended letting her watch your dog!
Rachel was a great caregiver for both of my pets, including my dog, whenever I had to go out of town or couldn't go out. She was very good about taking my dog for walks around the park, keeping him safe as they passed through the neighborhood and crossed streets, She even helped to train him to stop at each curb and wait for her command before proceeding to cross the street. Once, when a larger dog charged, she literally picked up my little dog and put herself out front (fortunately the other dog stopped). She was typically out with my dog for about 1 hour. Occasionally she would walk a neighbor's dog as well, but always with my permission. She was attentive enough to notice whenever my dog seemed a little 'off', or more tired, sometimes before I noticed. She also took care of my cat but that only involved keeping the litter box clean, which she did, and feeding. I would recommend her services to any dog owner.

Information Rachel W. would like to know about your pet
No preference on breed. I would like to know beforehand the dogs temperament and if they get along with children or other animals. Additionally - how many will need my care, any dietary concerns (other than the obvious), medications, etc.
A typical day
My go-to walk is around Balboa or Seaport Village. If your dog is on the smaller side and cannot make it fat distances, I will typically explore the local neighborhood. Depending on the dog, parks are also a fun way to expel energy.
