Pet care experience
Hey there! I’m Rachel and I’ve had a family dog for as long as I can remember. I used to volunteer every day at the local animal shelter while I was in highschool where I got tons of experience with all types of dogs and frequently helped out the neighbors with their escape artist husky! I previously worked as an assistant dog trainer. I’ve gotten tons of experience with how to better read dog’s body language, create and maintained presence control and facilitate healthy play. I have experience with dogs of all shapes and sizes, love taking pictures of puppy friends we make and I am very respectful of the owners wishes. If I don’t feel comfortable doing something, I’ll let you know! Neptune has a special diet so I completely understand the struggle of keeping food separate and am willing to work with my pet parents to set their dogs up for success. My boyfriend and I currently have two Great Danes in the home, Neptune and Pluto. We love to frequent the dog parks in the metro area (when it’s warm enough). I currently live in a dog-friendly apartment that allows me to have dogs visit for up to 2 week at a time. My apartment has a walk-out patio so it’s easy to let the dogs out. There is a nice complex dog park that we like to walk to. I do most of my meet and greets there for more neutral territory.
Reviews
Bella could not have been happier when we picked her up from two nights at Rachel’s...in fact I don’t think she has ever been so sad to say goodbye to a sitter!! We are already planning our second stay and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Rachel. She is a very clear and honest communicator and I trusted her to let me know if something wasn’t right.
Rachel is very passionate about dogs and it is clear when you see her work with them. She has taken great care of my animals in the past and I would recommend her to any of my friends in the future. Rachel goes above and beyond to meet the dog’s needs and communicate with me as the owner.

I currently live on the first floor of an apartment. We generally let every dog out on-leash separately to make sure we have max control and comfort. There is a dog park within my complex that is often empty. In general, other complex goers do not have their dogs come in and play if there are already dogs, so it’s like having a private fenced-in yard at my apartment.

Information Rachel S. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know any of the following: Are you available for a meet and greet before I will be taking care of your pets? What’s your preferred method of communication? Can I post photos of your dogs onto social media? Do your dogs get along with others? Are their any special food or treat requirements? Where do your pets usually sleep? What rules do you usually have for your pets at your house? Are there any tricks or training methods you and your pet are currently learning that you’d like me to help keep fresh in their mind while they stay with me? Is your dog known to be an escape artist? I have experience with reactive/aggressive dogs but please don’t spring that on me when I already have them in my care. If you have worries about your dog being reactive/aggressive please let me know ahead of time so we can make a plan.
A typical day
The fenced-in dog park right outside my apartment is always a blast for dogs. We have the benefit of tons of smells so they get plenty of mental stimulation from sniffs and the physical benefits of running around without the worry of dog fights that can come with going to a public dog park.

Availability
My boyfriend and I have luckily managed to have work schedules that allow us to be home often enough to let the dogs out. I have multiple repeat clients within my apartment complex and love to build relationships with both dog owners and dogs. I’m usually pretty flexible with scheduling.
