Dog friendly home with fenced yard
Pet care experience
Formerly a K9 Unit Officer with experience in training multiple dogs. I am owned by a medium sized Golden Doodle that insisted on taking me for walks of 2 to 5 miles daily at various parks in the TCs, where I'm often referred to as the "dog whisperer". Retired and at home everyday with a fenced back yard and an SUV set up for comfortable dog transportation.
Reviews
Dee has a blast at Philip’s house! Always frequent walks and photos of their outdoor adventures. Can’t say enough good things about Philip as a caretaker.
Philip is a wonderful dog sitter. He took Chewie for long walks every day. He sent us pictures every day. He knows how to handle a big loveable, sometimes unruly dog.
Phillip provided great care for our pup. She’s spent very little time away from us and he kept her safe and happy!
We couldn’t be happier with our dog’s stay with Philip. Philip sent us daily updates and pictures. We have a high energy dog so the daily hikes/walks that Philip goes on is much appreciated by the dog and us. Our dog was exhausted when we got home so that’s all the evidence we needed to know our dog had a great time. We will 100% be booking with Philip again. I would recommend Philip to any dog owner no matter what type of dog you have.

Safety, trust & environment
With two large raised decks and a fenced back yard, I have plenty of space for your dog to lounge in the sun or shade, sniff, play, and make deposits in the yard. Your dog will also get one or two long daily walks, on leash, in local wooded parks, of between 2 and 5 miles. At night, your pup is free to enjoy the bed, furniture, or dog bed as she likes. I do not kennel dogs except for house training. Subject to your preference, breakfast is served between 5am and 6am with the first outing. Dinner is served after the afternoon walk around 5pm. PLEASE NOTE: I only mark my Rover calendar as unavailable if I already have two dogs booked. However, I’ve been known to make exceptions, so ask…

Information Philip W. would like to know about your pet
How well trained is he/she? How does he/she respond and interact with other dogs. Is he/she nervous? Does he/she chew furniture? Does he/she get regular flea and tick meds? Is he/she aggressively possessive with toys or food?
A typical day
With lots of opportunity for outdoor time in a fenced in yard, your dog will also go one or two hikes in a local wooded park, for 2-5 miles. If the park-of-the-day is an off-leash park, she will remain on-leash unless I am very familiar with her and she responds well to my commands, and to other dogs.

Availability
I'm retired, and have lots of time to play with, pet, and attend to your dog's needs. I prefer no more than two dogs at a time, but would consider three if two are from the same family, or if an regular client is in a bind, and if I know all the dogs to be good with other dogs. After years of experience with many dogs, there are a couple of breeds that I will not board, not because that are bad dogs, but because they are likely to have predispositions that I find problematic. Please do not rely on the Rover calendar. Dispute many complaints, this calendar is useless. Request dates that you need, and I’ll promptly tell you if they are available.
