Cannot accept incontinent dogs* *Must be dog and cat friendly* *Not best match for high energy dogs* I love, love, love taking care of animals and helping them feel safe and comforted while they are away from their family and may be nervous and/or scared. This is not a side hustle for me, but my main focus along with taking care of my dog and cat. I worked in animal rescue and fostering for 15 years and have had pets all my life. I am a certified pet sitter through Pet Sitters International. I will welcome your pets into my home and treat them as my own -they will be my first priority. My job is to help them feel happy, loved and calm while they are separated from their two-leggeds. And to give you peace of mind while you are away. I live in a house with a large yard, the back is completely fenced, and we also have a screened in porch that is great for sunning and relaxing. I am retired and now at home full time, except for when I leave to do in-home pet appointments for others, errands, etc. I have one dog, a Jack Russell Terrier, and one cat. A pre-stay consult is REQUIRED at no cost. Therefore I cannot accept same day requests. Texts, pictures, and sometimes videos if I get something good, sent daily. For in home stays, if you drop off in the morning and pick up in the evening, a daycare charge is added for the last day. **For your pet's safety, I no longer provide daily walks in my neighborhood. Please see additional notes about dog walking below** If backyard free play will provide adequate exercise for them, know they can have all they want and they are never left unsupervised. Hours: Drop offs and pick ups accepted at my home 8 am to 8 pm. Transport for your dog (5 mi radius from my home only) Nov - March: 9 am to 5 pm . Apr - Oct: 9 am to 7 pm. Cat care visits in your home: 9 am to 5 pm. Messages returned between 8 am and 8 pm. Meet and greets in my home scheduled between 8 am to 7 pm. I think this was my 4th time leaving Nova with Peggy this year and she truly is the best, I have already booked another stay! I can't say enough about her and would highly recommend for anyone that has an older, high maintenance dog like Nova.
Peggy is the best! She cared for my Lulu as if she were her own. She updated me daily and sent pictures, which was so greatly appreciated. My dog wasn’t eating very much, but Peggy went above and beyond to make sure she ate her meals. I highly recommend Peggy!
Our older dog loved her time with Peggy and her pup. We had such peace of mind on our trip knowing she was in caring and attentive hands. The daily updates with pics were great and always made us smile. We all had a great vacation!! Thanks so much Peggy!
Peggy is amazing! My cats are afraid of everyone and they love her. I am never anxious about going away when I know she can stop by and take care of them.

I have a completely fenced and well maintained backyard. The fence is a 4 ft high chain link fence. Dogs can run and play freely off leash with my dog. For in-home cat care, I am VERY careful when going in and out and make sure everything is left clean and organized. I will interact/play with all cats who will let me!

I cannot accept dogs over 40 lbs. We can only host dogs who get along well with other dogs and are not very high energy. I only take one dog at a time, unless they are from the same family. if from the same family, I will accept up to 3 at once. Your dogs must also be cat friendly.
A typical day
Plenty of toys and balls to throw in the back yard. and a doggie pool for summertime cooling off. Mealtimes are structured to your dog's usual schedule. Daily walks IF your dog is agreeable to getting in my car and riding with a seatbelt on. I do not walk dogs in my neighborhood anymore, but do go to a lake with a trail across the street. But we have to ride a few minutes in the car to get there.

Availability
Daily schedules can be adapted to your dog's needs. However, they must be able to sleep through the night. They can be let outside in the morning as early as 6:30 am. Please advise me if their usual schedule can/cannot adhere to that.
