Pet care experience
I grew up in a rural environment, where taking care of critters was a part of everyday life. Dogs, cats, chickens, cows, sheep, younger siblings, you name it, at some point or another I've probably had to bathe it, feed it, and scoop its poop. My experience with dogs includes caring for and living with dogs throughout my childhood and adult life. Feeding them, taking them to the park, and using basic commands on a daily basis. In addition to my experience on Rover, I've also taken care of friends' and family members pets over the years, and have always had positive experiences. Under my care, your dog would have a veritable smorgasbord of fun activities to choose from. This list includes, but is certainly not limited to: walking, petting, cuddling, napping, playing fetch, wrestling, sitting quietly and so much more!

Safety, trust & environment
I access each animal's needs on a case-by-case basis. If your elderly labradoodle needs minimal excersize but needs her meds and loves affection, we can work around that. If your 2 year old border collie needs at least an hour of excersize every day, we can work with that too.
Information Owen C. would like to know about your pet
Before putting a dog under my care, I like to know as much as possible about your furry family member. What is this dogs energy level? How do they socialize with other dogs and people? Do they have any allergies or medical issues that might require my attention? Are they used to a specific set of commands? Do they REALLY hate skateboards? The more information I have about your pet, the better equipped I will be to give them the best care possible.
A typical day
I'm familiar with a number of parks in southwest and southeast Portland, as well as the city streets themselves. Playing fetch or taking a run are great options for higher energy dogs. Lower energy individuals, however, might just need a stroll around the block to get their needed excersize.

Availability
I'm working part time and will be for the bulk of the summer as I'm in the midst of a career change. My schedule is very flexible, and leaves plenty of room for pet care.
