Pet care experience
I'm a mindful and communicative pet sitter. I'll ask questions in advance to make sure we're on the same page about care and also to respect your time away. Because I'm a photographer, I will no doubt take tons of photos of your fur children! I'm a HUGE animal lover, and eager to share my time with animals of all kinds. I grew up with cats as well as several dachshunds and a Samoyed mix. I have four years of experience with senior and palliative cat care, and understand the importance of giving cats, especially senior and previously-stray cats, the attention they deserve. I can administer meds and provide warm and attentive companionship and play. I also care for well-behaved, low-to-medium energy, well-behaved dogs. Sorry - I am not experienced with high energy, large dogs. My goal is to make sure your pet feels loved and attended to in the time you are away.

Noele was amazing! Both of my kitties came out to play and enjoyed their time together. They looked like they were having so much fun in all their photos! They were happy and content when I came home, and they seemed comfortable and at peace when I would check on my pet cam in the evenings. It makes me happy when I know that my kitties know they have someone coming to check up on them and keep them from feeling anxious while I'm away.

I let animals greet me on their own terms. Each one is different and has their own unique temperament and comfort level with strangers and I make an effort to respect that. For cats, I generally like to put down their food, wash their dishes, and scoop the litter box after that. Then there's plenty of time for playtime, if that's what kitty's up for (sometimes quiet companionship is more preferred), and I like to take a lot of pictures for owners too. For dogs, I act as a voice of gentle authority if necessary, yet also provide a lot of praise.

A typical day
I love to give praise to animals; I have seen the transformative power of praise to animals and all beings. And playtime is so important, too - this is some pets' love languages! For cats, I'm happy to work with their preferences, whether that means swatting a few mice around, playing with the wand toy, or breaking out the catnip! Petting, brushing, and cuddling, might be next on the list, depending on the cat. In general, I like to respect cats' boundaries, and allow them to dictate what quality time means to them. For dogs, a walk through the 'hood or park at their pace!

I have a part-time remote work schedule and am very flexible. At the moment that’s my only time commitment so I have plenty of availability to dedicate to caring for animals.
