Hi! I'm Nicole. I moved to SF a little over a year ago for career change and am looking for some supplemental income.

I grew up with dogs my whole life, and once I moved here, I realized how much I missed having a one! I can't afford one at the moment, so I began volunteering at Northern California Family Dog Rescue. Volunteering is great but I realized money would also be good ;)

I'd like to help you and your dog out. My job is flexible and I have a car! I'm punctual, reliable, and always have my phone on me. I can provide references (from the dog shelter), or just seeing me interact with your dog, you'll know we'll have a great, safe, fun time.

How long have you been a dog lover? Tell us about your history with dogs.

I grew up with dogs in the house, usually 2 at a time. Jenny, Shiva, and Zoey were all rescue dogs that I trained and grew to love like members of my family.
I've lived all over the country and have either resided with dogs or volunteered at local shelters. They calm me down and make me happy, and I'd like to think I make them happy too :)

What would you like to know about a dog before sitting him or her? Do you have any breed preferences?

I prefer mixed breeds, though I have experience in caring for pedigrees. I would like to know the dog's daily routine, how they interact with other dogs and children, any allergies or strange fears (scattering leaves, backfires from cars, etc.).

Do you have reliable transportation in the event of an emergency?

Yes I have a car.

Are you comfortable administering medication?

Yes, I've worked in hospitals with (human) patients and am comfortable giving shots and pills.

Are you willing to do additional tasks at my home while I'm away
(e.g., water plants, bring in the mail)?

Of course!

How much time do you plan on spending with my dog each day?

However much the dog needs. We can work it out!

This was the first time we have used Rover.com and Nicole C but we will definitely be calling again. Nicole took great care of our 2 large dogs, administered medications and followed instructions completely. Nicole was good about answering our texts when we were away and sent us some cute pics of the pups. When we returned our dogs were happy and tired.

Nicole was great! She watched my Golden, Banks, while I was out of town for a few days and was incredibly friendly, responsive, and professional. Banks instantly took to her and she took great care of him while I was gone. She sent pics of them playing on the beach and even went out of her way to give him a bath - he desperately needed it but it was not part of the job description (thank you!!).
