Dog loving college student
Pet care experience
Hi! I'm Nicole. I am a 23-year-old college student with a 2-year-old golden retriever named Eddy. Recently, Bo is my everyday adventure buddy, and we love to get out of the house and go on adventures! I am home a lot right now and have plenty of time for walks, hikes, and tennis ball throwing! I am a trained dog Foster Parent through the Humane Society of Truckee-Tahoe as well as a trained volunteer. I have minimal experience taking care of animals in other people's homes, as I am used to a shelter environment and my own home. However, I am learning quickly what it's like to be a wonderful dog parent and how fulfilling that is. I love to meet new dogs of any breed or size.

Nicole was perfect for our Truckee visit. Pax had an incredible time and I would recommend her to anyone who loves their dog and is worried about finding a safe place to house their dog. Nicole checked in with me often, sent pictures and made me assured that Pax was safe and having fun. Pax had so much fun playing with her dog Bo and the two hit it off immediately ❤️ I was able to pick up Pax and take her on truckee adventures whenever I wanted then drop her off again so my family could have Truckee fun that didn’t include dogs. Thank you Nicole, you and your welcoming family are wonderful!
Nicole was outstanding! She even came to our place to pick up "River".
Nicole was wonderful with our crazy pups! They got to play with her pup Bo and run around in their great yard! We dropped them off at her house and felt instantly comfortable with them staying with her! She met us to drop them off and pups seemed so happy and tired!! Loved getting photos of their adventure at doggie day sitting!
Nicole was wonderful! We actually organized for her to watch my dog for a full day, and they went on a hike! Nicole was very responsive, upbeat, and my dog ran right to her when we first met. Highly recommend! Above and beyond, thanks Nicole!

I am definitely a helicopter dog parent (but hopefully in a good way!) Making sure all of the animals in my care and happy and well taken care of is my biggest priority.

Information Nicole C. would like to know about your pet
Before taking care of your animal, there are only a few things that would be important to me to know about them. The biggest one is if he/she gets along with other dogs as I do have a golden at home. The next would be the breed of dog, age, and if they have any triggers to be aware of (food security, certain petting areas, playing, etc.). And lastly would be if there are any necessary medications, toys, etc. that your dog is accustomed to having or needs.
A typical day
My home is right across the street from a large dog-friendly park and plenty of walking paths. I enjoy taking hikes around the Arboretum and have found many incredible and super animal-friendly trails that will wipe the whole gang out! At home, I love to take my dog swimming and am currently searching out safe, nice spots around Bellingham for swimming. Tennis balls are also a very popular item of choice for me, personally, so catch is a daily activity.

I am a student at WWU and live very close by which allows for a lot of flexibility and I can be home quickly. Having a dog of my own has taught me a lot and so I’ve been able to adjust my routines to support their needs.
