Does he/she get along with other dogs? Does he/she get along with cats? It is ok if the answer is no, I would just prefer to know ahead of time instead of finding out by myself. I do not have any breed preference.

However, with a well behaved dog I would considered letting him/her sleep out of the crate but in a confined area of the home. Time I'll spend with your dog I would like to, as best as possible, mirror how you would spend your time with your dog for the sake of trying not to stress the dog out. Someone is home almost the whole day that would be able to take him out when needed.
