I am a lifelong dog lover and my husband and I have two dogs of our own - dachshunds Biscuit and Hugo. I've had dogs ever since I can remember, and feel that there is no other loyalty and love quite like the kind dogs provide. My husband and I decided to start dog sitting when we moved to Virgina and didn't have many friends we could rely on or trust to watch our fur-babies. The thought of putting our dogs in a "pet hotel" aka cage for a week while we were on vacation terrified me, so we strive to provide a safe, comfortable, playful and happy environment for pets and peace of mind for pet owner like ourselves. Both our dogs Biscuit and Hugo are very sweet and playful dogs, so your dogs will always have an extra furry friend to play with. While your dog is with us, they will become part of the family and very much loved, and treated like our own dogs. My husband and I are both very active people and love taking our dogs for walks and outdoor adventures, so you we can assure that your dog will stay active and entertainment while we sit them. Any treat request or special need? We are happy to accommodate and provide any extra attention your dog requires. We will also make it a point to keep pet owners updated on the well-being of their pup. I know that is one of little things that put our minds at rest when we go out of town and leave our dogs with a sitter. Whether you'd like text updates, emails, Facebook posts - We are happy to provide them all. We look forward to having your dog be part of our family... Natalie & Jason Hurley Why I love dog sitting Both myself and my husband have always been avid dog longer. I (Natalie) have owned dogs every since I can remember. When my husband and I got our first dog together 4 years ago, we didnt realize how loving and loyal dogs really are. Our dogs are our world. We think of our dogs like children (but better). About my yard We do not have a backyard but our neighborhood is extremely dog friendly and we have a lovely hill of open space behind our condo where we take out dogs to plays and for exercise. Natalie and Jason are AMAZING. We met them (and their pups) several days before leaving our miniature dachshund, Stella, with them for the weekend and they are both friendly, welcoming, and obviously dog-lovers! After meeting them and letting Stella meet Hugo and Biscuit, I was confident that Stella would be well taken care of and treated as their own. Having never left Stella with someone we didn't know before, I was strangely at ease knowing she'd be looked after by Natalie and Jason. From the first night they watched her until a few hours before we picked her up, we received texts and pictures with updates of Stella playing with Hugo and Biscuit, lounging, and having a great time! I would most definitely recommend Natalie and Jason to watch your fur-baby and we would for sure ask them to watch Stella again!
My boston terrier puppy, Molly, stayed with Natalie and Jason this past weekend when we were away. As this was my first time ever leaving my puppy with anyone, I was a little overbearing with instructions, but Natalie was completely ok with it and happy to watch Molly :). We met with Natalie prior to booking to make sure our dogs got along. Molly got along with her 2 cute dachshunds great! We felt completely comfortable booking with her and leaving Molly with them, and when we dropped her off before we left, she was already too busy playing with her dogs to say bye to us :). I texted her a few times throughout the day to make sure Molly was doing well, and Natalie was very quick to respond letting me know she was doing well and with pic updates. When we picked her up the next day, she was so tired from all the fun she had she slept most of the day! Thank you Natalie and Jason for watching our puppy for the night :)
Natalie was awesome sending updates of Bentley's stay with Hugo and Biscuit. You can tell she's a dog lover and took great care of Bentley. I would recommend her to anybody looking for a sitter!

We feel its always important to know if your dog has any special needs or requires a certain amount of attention. While they are in our care we want they to be has happy and comfortable as possible, and provide peace of mind for the owners. We do not have any breed preferences - we love all dogs. Since we do currently live in an apartment, we can only limit our service to small dogs.
A typical day
Here's where we'll take our walks We have a lovely grass field behind our apt building where we talk our own dogs and they can roam freely and get some exercise. We are centrally located near Clarendon so we often take our dogs on walks in the neighborhood when we run errands or gran coffee at Starbucks. On the weekends we like to take our dogs to the Shirlington Dog Park where we can let them off the leash - and they can even go for a swim in the creek. It's great! Your dog's sleeping arrangement We want your dog to feel at home while they are with us, so if your dog has its own bed or crate that they sleep in, we encourage you to bring that over so their routine is not disrupted. Additionally, we can provide a crate for your dog to sleep in while they stay over. Our dogs typically sleep in their crate at night, but in the morning we let them out and they snuggle with us in our bed. During the day we let our dogs roam freely around our apt and they have plenty of places to nap: sofa, dog bed, chairs etc. Time I'll spend with your dog Our dogs are always will us unless we are at work, so your dog will be with one of us at all times.
