I’ve been around dogs and cats my entire life. From a young age I always wanted to be involved in some way with animals. I mostly have had experience with larger breeds like dobermans and pitbulls, but I currently own a smaller breed (aussie/poodle mix). I also have experience caring for immobile senior dogs as well as puppies and kittens/cats, as I own my own adult cat as well. I am a college student, however I am not currently involved in any extracurriculars so I have a lot of time generally. There’s nothing more I would rather do with my extra time than care for animals. I am familiar with many mannerisms of a wide variety of breeds and I understand how to address what they need on an individual level. For example, my dog that I currently own has extreme separation anxiety, so I can tailor how I care for him based on his individual needs as a dog. I understand that not all dogs are the same and some require more care and attention than others, and I know how to provide that.
