Pet care experience
I’ve always had a ton of pets - I have a medium sized dog and two cats at home, and while I’m here in Chicago for my Master’s I have my own two cats! I have a ton of experience with dogs and cats, not only taking care of my own, but also with friends and neighbors who relied on me to walk, feed, and play with their animals. As a bonus I also have some experience with small reptiles (lizards) so if you have any of those I would be able to assist in feedings.

Mira was great when watching my cat Bear! Bear can be a little over friendly and demand cuddles ALL the time but Mira was there to give them to him. Not only did she make sure he was fed and played with but she even made sure that when he had a bit of an upset tummy, that his fluffy fur was cleaned off. When I returned home, Bear was a happy camper and acted like he didn't even miss me at all.
Mira took care of my cat and dog while I was away for a couple of weeks. She kept me updated on how they were doing basically each day. She clearly spent a lot of time cuddling and playing with them. She walked my dog twice daily, and even took her on long walks through the woods! When I returned, both of my animals were very happy and healthy :)

I will abide by whatever security measures you have for your pet. I will keep your dog leashed at all times, even if they are in your own yard, and will make sure they do not come into close contact with another dog while on walks. My cats are indoors only so I’m familiar with how to keep indoor cats from trying to escape outside.

If your dog is on medication or is special needs please let me know. If they have an electric fence or if they can be released into the yard without a leash is also important. Please let me know if they are friendly with other animals - I do have a cat at home and some dogs react strongly to a cat’s scent.
A typical day
I’m a big outdoors person so I would love to take your dog out for walks to the park, around the neighborhood, or even for a longer hike if that’s something you’re comfortable with. I’ll let dogs run around the dog park, see new parts of the neighborhood, and even meet new dogs (of course, to your comfort level).

Availability
I’m a full-time student with a slightly weird schedule. Your location will matter for my ability to be there, but in general I can do very early morning drop ins/walks, most afternoons, and every evening during the weekdays. I’m free Friday-Sunday all day and could come over to play and hang out!
