Pet care experience
Hello furmamas and furpapas of the interwebs! First things first: My name is Cruz, I recently relocated back to the Triangle after spending a year in Missouri.I am pursuing a degree in Social work with a minor in trauma informed care. In my free time I love going on trails and finding all the secret foodie spots! Now down to business: I have provided my doggy services since 2017 and honestly, it is a pretty fun way to spend my days. I really do love animals and during our meet and greet my goal is to really connect with your dog(s) so both of you feel comfortable with me. I do have experience and patience to handle animals who struggle with anxiety (you may have even chosen me because you saw that in my verified reviews) so if that's the case with your furbabes, we can navigate that together. For house sitting requests, I do ask that clients be mindful. Rover charges a per night rate so I try to check out by 5pm for when the booking ends. This is just courtesy as it would be unfair to ask me to provide a full day of services but not have to pay the additional day. If you know that your return time is going to be late that night, let's discuss what that looks like so there are no surprises later. if your pets have any triggers-- PLEASE let me know. I always try to be sensitive of that. I have weekends off, which allow me the ability to offer top notch care during the weekends. I also have a puppy of my own, so I’ve got a lot of hands on experience caring for my dog- and others.
Reviews
Michelle was great! Lily had such a good time with her. She was responsive with daily updates and left my place a clean as it was before she was there. I highly recommend her and will use her every time I have to go out of town!
Awesome communication and really amazing person.
I was very scared to leave my dog with someone I didn’t know but Michelle did an amazing job of communicating with me throughout the trip so I was comfortable and I could see from photos and videos that my dog was happy to spend time with her as well.
Michelle did a great job taking care of my pets, including my senior dog who needs special care. She also took great care of my house during the freezing weather when it needed extra steps. She sent me lots of updates and pictures so I knew how everything was going and my dogs absolutely loved her.

During the meet and greet I try to ask specific questions that help me gauge what your pets enjoy doing most, this allows gives me insight into how I can best weave myself into their routine but also it allows me to see how to best keep watch. If your Macy is currently on medication, that’s a vital thing to know. If Knox likes to tug if he sees squirrels, I want to know this. All these little details help me to be vigilant while providing the most safe care during my visit.

Information Michelle C. would like to know about your pet
A few things I love to know beforehand: - What is our feeding schedule - What are some triggers to be aware of - Is there any medication - Who is your vet - Emergency contact - Favorite toy - Potty/ walking schedule - Check in time and check out time** - What to be aware of during walks - Is there any plants to water
A typical day
My day usually starts around 6am. If you have early risers, then you can guarantee we will be up and moving around. I have some clients who just want to lounge, so we binge watch some Netflix. I have some clients who are used to going on 2-3 mile trails daily. My main goal is to align my schedule with whatever your home is most accustom to.
