Pet care experience
My husband and I both grew up with dogs and really miss having a pup around the house. Our current schedules make it difficult for us to commit to caring 24/7 for a dog of our own at this time, but we love spending time with dogs and want more of them in our lives! We have a 7 and 9 year old who have experience with their grandparent's dog, among others. Why I love dog sitting We have both been dog lovers since we were kids! I grew up with a vivacious Airedale Terrier, and Mike had a deeply lovable golden retriever/terrier mutt. I also used to walk my neighbor's dog every day after school. We don't think we can commit to owning a dog at this point but we really miss being around them, so Rover seems like a great way to achieve that. I expect we could administer medication unless the regimen seems very complicated.

Micaela and Mike would be a dream home for any dog. They are responsible, caring, experienced dog owners. There home is a safe and welcoming place for four-legged friends that are comfortable with stairs.
Micaela is an incredibly caring, responsible, and conscientious person. As both a dog trainer and a dog owner, I would absolutely trust her with the care of any of my or my clients' pets. Your dog will be lucky to have her!

We have a fenced in yard, but we don't think of that as a substitute for dog walks in the neighborhood. The neighborhood has nice lawns and a low level of car traffic.

Your dog must be absolutely comfortable around and gentle with children and babies. We definitely don't have breed preferences, but in general we'd like to briefly meet your dog before hosting. If your dog has any fears or anxieties, we'd like to know ahead of time so we can try to make him/her as comfy as possible.
A typical day
Here's where we'll take our walks Most likely Kendall Recreation Field or Roxborough Dog Park, a great walking/sniffing/socializing area that is just down the street from us. Plenty of trees and dirt and sticks! Your dog's sleeping arrangement Probably in the living room, downstairs. Time I'll spend with your dog We will spend hours and hours with your dog! I am currently home with two kids so we will play a lot. On the weekends, even more so because there will be two adults to take pup out for walks.
