Pet care experience
Not only have I been a multiple-dog owner for 14 years, but as a child I actually believed I WAS a dog!! To say I love dogs is an understatement; but really, I love all animals with equal enthusiasm (yes, even birds!). I have three cats right now that love dogs, and I have had a number of dog-clients over the years who I’ve truly loved liked they were my own pooches. My approach is always to alleviate pets’ anxieties through: affectionate engagement, plenty of active playing, always providing fresh water, and of course lots of chatting so that your pet develops a happy and excited association with me :) I’m also a long-distance (marathon) runner and I love to hike, so if you have a high-energy dog with active needs, I’m the gal for your pal!

Merav was a fabulous sitter! She bonded immediately with Charlie, our Lab/Doberman cross and we could tell when we returned that he had been really well cared for and loved! Merav sent us regular texts and photos as an update on Charlie and even took him to Point Reyes on New Year's Eve! She was also a terrific house-sitter, dealing with mail and packages and looking after our house really well; she left it looking spotless - always nice to return to after a long trip!

I love all breeds, sizes and personalities. The main information I want for every pit I care for is: their vet contact info, any allergies/triggers/anxieties your dog has, and clear “do’s and don’ts“ for any house rules (pets off the furniture, no people food, etc.) so that I keep things consistent for your pet. I would also just like to know if your dog/s are friendly or aggressive with other dogs so that I can make plans for outings and anticipate accordingly :)
A typical day
I love taking dogs to inspiration point/Tilden, Sibley Park, point Isabel, the Albany bulb, the Berkeley Marina, Lake Merritt and the Strawberry Canyon fire-trail. I also love walking around the Berkeley and El Cerrito hills, and stopping by the Holistic Hound for a tasty treat :) And: If your dog loves the beach, say no more!
