Pet care experience
Hi! My name is Melanie! I have always had a huge passion for animals ever since I was a kid. From owning my own, to pet sitting for friends and family, I have experience with puppies, all the way up to the white-faced senior babies. Professionally, I have worked in a dog boarding facility for 2 years now, and I have loved every minute of it! I can administer oral medication/supplements as needed. I have taken two courses on dog body language and behavior, so I can read and understand dogs very well. I have a lot of experience with anxious and fear reactive pets. Aside from Rover, I have started my own business called Dogs in Motion! I also offer boarding for small animals such as Rabbits, Chinchillas, Hamsters and Guinea Pigs.

My home: I have two separate areas of my backyard that are fenced off. Your pet will be staying in his/her very own personal bedroom- separate from my personal pets. If your pet enjoys the company of other dogs, we can always try to see if our dogs can play nicely. This however is not required and if you choose your pet can have their own space and zero contact with any other animals! Either way, your pet will feel like they are on vacation! I also have cameras in the room, so I can see your pet at all times. Your home: Routines are very important to our furry friends. When doing drop-in visits or staying at your home while you’re away, I will do my best to accommodate your at-home routines you have already in place with your pet to keep them comfortable and at a low-stress level while you’re away.

I would love to know if your dog has any special needs(medications, allergies, etc..), how they are behaviorally with strangers and other animals in the home, what they enjoy and what they don't enjoy. Anything important to know about your furry friend! In order to protect my pets at home and your pets that stay with me, all dogs boarding with me MUST have a current Rabies Vaccination on file. * Up to date records will need to be shown PRIOR to drop off. Thank you for your understanding.
A typical day
Having two Great Danes myself, our day can typically range from hanging out on the couch together, or outside most of the day playing fetch! But, we LOVE going to the park for a nice walk, car rides, and getting ice cream! And yes.. your pup can even lay on the couch, and bed! Whatever your pup enjoys doing, we can fit that into our schedule to make their stay PAWSOME!
