Intentional Care for Your Animals!
Pet care experience
I have been growing up around dogs my whole life, and I even did the Dog project in 4-H for five years and helped lead the group. I have experience handling and training dogs for obedience and show environments, and I am comfortable with all pets! I have been house-sitting in the summers for many different dog-owners, so I am knowledgeable and experienced in providing care for these animals. My parents' dog (aka "my" dog) is a German Shorthaired Pointer and his name is Murphy. I spend a lot of time with him, and I have a special spot in my heart for all animals. I also co-parent a little calico cat named Stitch with my best friend.

I will adhere to any and all established rules and routines for animals in their home to provide the most comfortable and safe experience that is possible.

I would love to know as much as possible about your dog. If your dog has special care needs, I would love as much detail about this as possible. Additionally, details such as your dog's likes/dislikes, rules for behavior, and typical routine will allow me to ensure the best possible care for your furry friend!
A typical day
I would love to provide an array of activity options for your dog. I do a lot of hiking in my free time and am also training to run a marathon, so I would love to take high energy dogs out with me on walks, hikes, and/or runs. I would love to take your animal on play dates or to the dog park if they are more social and friendly (although I am currently hesitant because of the canine virus going around). I am happy to transport dogs with my vehicle for these activities with reimbursement for gas. We can explore some new places and play with favorite toys! If your pup(s) would rather take a snooze inside, I'm happy to curl up with a book alongside them. This also applies to feline friends! I enjoy playing inside with cats and can provide whatever level of engagement they need for their happiness and comfort. Also, I do engage in photography as a hobby, and would love to try to get some candid shots of your animal for you!

Availability
I am currently a graduate student at the University of Idaho, and have 9 credits of classes and a few intern shifts with Career Services that I have synchronous commitments to. I am available to stay the night for house and pet sitting Monday—Sunday. I am available every weekday morning before 11am and then again at 3:30 PM on Tuesday/Thursday and at 5 on MWF, with a few hour-long breaks on all days I can utilize for bathroom/feeding time. I am available all day on the weekends. I will update my calendar if my schedule fluctuates.
