Pet care experience
Hunter and I would love to have your dog over to our house! I've been a dog owner and caretaker for over 15 years. I have experience with all sizes of dogs but Hunter works best with medium and large dogs. I do not have any breed preferences. I can administer medication as well as I can give belly rubs.

I have known Megan her whole life as I am her mom. I’ve seen her care for our family pets, as well as her own pet, and I see a loving, thoughtful, and informed caregiver. She knows it takes time and preparation. She is knowledgeable regarding what it takes to provide good temporary care for a pet as she uses those services for her own dog. My 60lb german shepherd Hunter loves to play with other dogs when he goes to doggie daycare. We will welcome your dog to hang out with us and get some playtime in before you come back! We go on walks around the neighborhood regularly because we don't have a grass-filled yard of our own. If it's a beautiful day, we might even go to the dog park on a long walk.

Do they need some time to warm up to other dogs? How does your dog typically let you know it's time to go potty? Will they become protective of anything in particular? (treats, toys, food in bowls?) I might also like to know how your dog gets into trouble at home so I have a leg up on him while you're away!
A typical day
We will walk around the Old Metairie neighborhood. Plus, I'm a master at tug-of-war. I mean, Hunter would probably say I'm no match for him though...

I work from home and will be happy to keep your dog company while you're away. I'm a professional musician so during non-COVID times, I can be on the road a lot. I know the value of having your pet stay with someone they love to see. I prefer to watch dogs during daytime hours anywhere between 8:30 am and 6:00 pm. I can be flexible but please make sure to communicate any schedule changes as soon as you know!
