Hi, my name is Megan. I have been working with animals for over six years. I started off my career as a dog handler, implementing behavioral modification techniques in a positive reinforcement setting. I moved onto working in a high volume veterinarian hospital. Because of this experience I can tell when a dog's ailments are serious and how to treat many illnesses. I managed a reputable Daycare, Boarding and Training Departments. I have now moved into non-profit work to improve the lives of all animals. One of the best reasons to entrust me with your pet is the fact that I can identify dog's quirks. I don't like to call them issues because like people we all have things that upset us. It is just a matter of how we work with them. I know how to introduce my dog's to your dog. Each dog is their own person and it has become second nature reading their body language. It is amazing how much their body can tell us. I have a beautiful home in Hilton with an enormous backyard. I have a 7 year old son, who I am teaching how to love all animals but understand how to keep his distance and approach them. I have two neutered dogs. One is a 12 year old Beagle who loves to laze around the house. His favorite hiding spot is behind our bed. My other fur baby is a 5 year old hound. He comes to work with me on a daily basis and is very well socialized. He knows how to play appropriately and make all dogs feel welcomed. Lastly, my handsome cats. About this sitter: I have an extensive background in behavioral modification techniques with a large amount of dogs. I have worked in an animal hospital and have loved all aspects of my career. Why I love dog sitting I never knew how much I loved animals. As a kid we always had a dog, which I took upon myself to keep clean, fed, and entertained. I was a manager at a retail store and decided I wanted something more. I applied at a local Boarding and Daycare facility. I found out no amount of money is worth not loving to go to work every day. Now who can say that when they get stressed that can go hug and brush a dog or cat? About my yard I have an acre of land in my backyard that is surrounded on all sides by a six foot privacy fence. My experience administering medication Any and all medications I am comfortable with. However, if your dog is on IV fluids I recommend them boarding with a Veternarian.
