Pet care experience
Hi, and welcome to my Rover page! I have 5 years professional dog walking and house sitting experience on Rover. I have learned so much about patience and positive reinforcement 🥰. I attended 4 months At Attention Dog Training for help with reactivity. Please message me and let’s meet up! I volunteered previously at Last Chance Ranch in the kennels caring for dogs. I volunteer at Highpoint equestrian caring for horses. I attend Delaware Valley University as a part-time student. I love to be active; yoga, basketball, bike riding, and hiking are fun hobbies of mine! I had dogs and cats when I was younger and loved them dearly❤️. I dont own any pets currently. CPR certified.

Thank you Mary!! I cannot say enough about the wonderful job you did taking care of our dog Jaxon while we were on vacation. This has been my first experience with any kind of a pet sitting service as we normally take Jaxon to a kennel. But as he’s gotten older, I feel more and more guilty about dropping him off there. I heard about Rover and I thought I would give it a try. And I’m so glad that I did! Mary‘s profile and her philosophy just fit with what I was looking for in a caregiver. She’s a very calm, and centered young woman, which I think is really important. Especially since my Jaxon can get anxious at times and that can look a little frightening because he is a big boy. Mary seemed completely unfazed with the possibility of Jaxon getting anxious. She has a very gentle manner about herself and was patient with Jaxon, giving him time to “check her out” without being “in his face” so to speak. I will add that this is the first time we have ever had someone, other than family, come into our home without us there. And I feel that Mary was very respectful and conscious of our privacy and the security of our home. Our whole family, and the friends we were vacationing with, enjoyed seeing the daily Rover cards! Seeing pictures of Jaxon in his regular spots in the house and out walking in his yard validated the decision to entrust him to Mary’s care. Again, thank you so very much Mary!
Mary was awesome! We were very hesitant on using the service but she put us right at ease. It made our trip a bit more carefree. She was very responsive to messages and was very capable with Titus.
Mary was fantastic, patient, and detail-oriented. Would definitely hire her again!
Needed a walker while recovering from broken bones. Tipped Mary with cash. Our Chase is very excitable when he sees other dogs and people. Mary did a great job handling him and wearing him out. We will definitely schedule with her again if we need help in the future

For dog walking: I find it’s best to ignore dogs in the beginning and give attention for attention. I love practicing patience and calmness with animals. I like giving treats for good behavior too! Goal: spend attention wisely and focus on the positives however small! For house sitting: Written or verbal instructions work great, we can discuss further at the meet and greet!
Information Mary V. would like to know about your pet
My favorite treats are meats and cheese! Does your dog have a favorite toy? Sometimes toys work better than treats! I like to meet first and observe to see how your pets respond to me and triggers and reactions in the environment. How do they respond to a bicycle? Because I'd love to let them run alongside as i ride my bike... For house sitting: what does feeding, walking, and bedtime look like for your family? And any medications dogs are taking?
A typical day
Walking a mile at Peace Valley Park brings joy to my life. Leash training is so fun for me, and with your dog, we will practice responding to leash pressure and rewarding the behaviors we love to see in our dogs. Letting go of the rest! During house sitting, I enjoy meditation and reading books, creating a relaxing environment in your home!

I love going for walks and riding my bike. I know what it feels like to be away from my pets and can empathize with needing to know they're well taken care of. I am capable and you’re leaving them in gentle hands! And in the safety and comfort of your home, its easy on you and your pets.
