Pet care experience
I was a professional dog trainer and dog walker for over 10 years until 2020. I have since moved away from working in the pet care industry full-time - but still love providing excellent care and peace of mind for pet owners while they are away. As a former trainer, I am very experienced with dogs who have training and behavioral needs, though I love my happy-go-lucky friends too! I specialized in reactivity, aggression, and off-leash reliability, and am happy to consult on those matters as well. I am also trained in pet First Aid & CPR. I have owned Ibizan Hounds for ~14 years - I am experienced with sighthounds and primitive breeds that are prone to being aloof and independent.
Reviews
Mary watched our dog while we were out of the country. She provided regular detailed updates and multiple pictures and videos. We felt at ease knowing how much fun he was having and knowing he was in great hands!
Thankyou!
Thankyou fir taking care of cash! I got the cutest photo updates while at work!
Mary was very professional and took good care of my pup. I’d recommend her to anyone in need of services for their dog

I care for dogs in my home and their own. At my home there is a large fenced-in yard and my own dogs to play with and keep company. I can offer cat sitting in their own home only.

Information Mary P. would like to know about your pet
I love all dogs! I especially enjoy the dogs with a touch of attitude. :) Dogs that will be considered for boarding in my home must be (at this time): -Dog friendly or dog tolerant -Crate trained & house trained -Up to date on Rabies vaccine or proof of Rabies immunity (titer tested.) Dogs that I will care for in the comfort of their own home must be: -Able to be left alone for 4-6 hours during the day If you have any questions, please let me know!
A typical day
I am a fun and active walker/sitter/trainer. Being a former professional trainer, I am skilled at reinforcing basic manners and behaviors that you strive to maintain in your dog - and I am also adept at caring for dogs who are not the most social or require a little bit of extra management. Communication is key and you will never be left wondering how your canine companion is doing while you're away. On walks and visits, I try to visit nearby parks or green spaces and mix up activities. Sometimes we might go hiking on a long leash, others we might go to the pet store and socialize or pick out a new toy. I treat your dogs as my own. If your yard is fenced I like to give dogs some off-leash time to stretch their legs and play. Boarding dogs get to play with my dogs, play in the privacy-fenced large yard. If your dog is used to walks, they can get one in the morning or evening. Boarding dogs live as one of my own.

Availability
I currently work a non-pet care industry full time job, so pet sitting and boarding for dogs in my care looks a lot like it would with an owner working full-time outside of the home with no major change to routine.
