Love & Care for Your Pet Found Here
Pet care experience
Pets have been a part of my life since I was young kid. Life is just not the same without a furry friend, or four. Currently, I have two adopted dogs, and 4 adopted cats. Through my past volunteer work with Austin Pets Alive!, I have received some dog behavior training and learned how to administer many of the common medications pets are prescribed. You can breath a sigh of relief knowing your fur babies are in capable hands while under my care. Since I want you to feel comfortable with the care your "kids" get, I can tailor my services to your specific needs. Just let me know what you need and we can work something out. Please note that I do work a regular Monday thru Friday, 40 hour work week job, so my availability to care for your pet(s) is limited during the days I work. Regardless of the type of stay you are requesting, I do require a meet and greet for all new clients. If you are booking a boarding stay, please know that I have two dogs, and 4 cats in my home. Your pup will need to be cat and dog friendly. I work full time, but my husband is home most of the time while I am at work. He is a career fireman, so his schedule is not your typical 9-5. We have a doggie door, and a large fenced in yard, so unless your pup is crated, they have the opportunity to potty on their own time. DISCLAIMER: We have 4 cats in the home. IF YOUR DOG HAS NEVER MET A CAT BEFORE, I WILL TURN YOU DOWN. I do Rover for the love of animals, not just to make money. My cats are family and I will not put them at risk. For their protection, and your dog’s protection, please be honest about your dog’s history. Thank you! We have a large fenced in yard and 2 friendly dogs to keep your fur baby company. We also have an extra dog crate available, should your pup need it.
Reviews
Mary did an excellent job watching our 3 cats, including giving meds to our oldest one.
Mary is the best! She handles my grumpy (but sweet!) senior cat’s complex medication and care routine easily and my younger cat loves how much attention she gives him when she’s here!
Mary did drop-in visits with my cat for approximately a month. She was reliable, dependable and honest. She provided feedback and pictures of my cat when it was her scheduled visits. Based on my interactions with Mary, would use her and Rover in the future. Thanks for being a lovely cat sitter.
Once again, Mary did a great job taking care of our zoo!

Information Mary K. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know about any behaviors I need to know that will help me properly care for your pup. Does s/he resource guard? Does s/he like to chase squirrels? Does s/he get skittish around men in hats, large dogs, etc? Knowing these things up front will not deter me, but help me in keeping your fur baby safe while under my care. Being breed specific is akin to being racist and I do not believe in it. The only dog I do not like to work with is one that is overly aggressive. (Mostly because I do not have enough training to keep everyone safe.) I am also not species specific. (Well, I prefer not to deal with spiders.) Snakes, lizards, birds, small woodland creatures, etc. on the other hand, are right up my alley!
A typical day
Here's where we'll take our walks... Chances are I am in one of my many StepBets, so I need the walk just as much as your pup does. Normally I will take them around the neighborhood, and/or (if you have one) the local dog park. My vehicle is pet friendly, so a “road trip” is also an option. If you have a favorite spot or “watering hole” to take your pooch, please let me know. Your dog's sleeping arrangement... I allow my dogs to sleep in the room with me. I try to accommodate you as much as possible so as to not disrupt your pup’s normal routine. Staying with stranger can be disruptive enough, no need to shake up their whole world. Time I'll spend with your dog... My normal work schedule is Monday thru Friday, typical hours with a lengthy commute. (And since I work for the military, Federal holidays also affect my availability.) With that said, I will spend as much time as you prefer, depending on my schedule that day. I like to be upfront about my schedule so you know there may be days where visits will be short, and others where we can have an all day pup day fun day. Extra house-sitting services... If you would like me to pick up the mail or water the plants, no worries, I have you covered. (No extra charge!) If you would like me to take care of additional duties, like feeding the cats or cleaning the litter box, just let me know. I can do that too!
