Pet care experience
Throughout my whole life I have owned and worked with dogs. I currently work at a dog daycare in Costa Mesa/Newport Beach and have been working there for going onto 4 years. After interning at a very busy 24/7 Emergency Vet Hospital and also supervising at my dog center, I’m working on the next steps to depart from my 9-5 and open my own business. Not only do I have hands on experience with all AKC breeds, mixes, and sizes of dogs; but I have also studied the psychology of both humans and dogs. With my undergrad in Behavioral Psychology (UWM- Wisconsin girl here!!) I have learned to apply certain techniques with each dog based on my observations working with them. It’s important to me that the animal I’m caring for, is comfortable. I strongly believe in gaining their trust before any other interaction when working with new dogs. With my personal work, nurture has been the way of success with 85% of the dogs I meet. The other 15% need a stern, assertive leader to help guide them a bit. Thankfully, I have much experience and confidence with both. Is your dog a puppy? Reactive? Have separation anxiety? A senior? Have a health or neurological related disorder(s)? You can trust in me. I will work with you to ensure that your pup, in even a 15 min walk, to anything more is in a healthy relaxed state of mind.

One of my biggest rules when working with other clients’ dogs is gaining their trust with not only them, but their animal. I have worked in many homes, driven dog daycare shuttles to houses and made sure to keep in constant contact with the owner. It’s very important to me to ensure the peace of mind of the dog’s comfort and the owner who very often isn’t present. I will always update with pictures and videos and stay connected with you.

A typical day
Dog parks are all over my area! Every dog that I have taken there has the time of their life. I will make sure they are plenty tired by the end of the visit! *Update* Dog parks can be a hit or miss, depending on the dog I’m working with and the setting of the park that day. Very often, other owners aren’t actively present with their dog at the dog parks and I have witnessed many altercations. More than anything, I am most confident taking your dog where they are familiar but interestedly motivated. I typically do a quick google maps search to see good paths and walkways in your neighborhood. When boarding and sitting, I have more time to observe your dog and see if a dog park, beach, or setting with other dogs is a good idea for them that day. I have a lot of experience with identifying dog behavioral patterns and trust myself to keep your dog in a good place.
