Pet care experience
I am a recent college graduate currently pursuing a post-grad nursing degree and I am looking for ways to afford textbooks doing something I love! I'm a dog-lover and a people person so I'd love to help care for your dog or home while you're away! I've had at least one dog for my entire life and I love the outdoors -- especially when furry friends accompany me! In addition to my personal experience caring for my own dogs, I have had 5 years of experience on Rover and have thoroughly enjoyed my time as a dogsitter. I have worked with many different breeds and ages. I am available weekdays and weekends, and some holidays. I do prefer to care for dogs in their own environment as it tends to be more comfortable for them, leading to a better experience for dog and dogsitter!

Mariell was great to work with. My trip was last minute but she accommodated us. She was great with my pup and even brought in (and put in the freezer) some frozen foods that arrived during her visit. I’ll definitely use her again.
Mariell was accommodating and easy to communicate with! We needed someone to pick up/watch our Arnold after being in our wedding ceremony and Mariell went out of her way to help us. She sent photos during the evening and was flexible during pickup. Would definitely recommend.
Mariell took great care of my high energy dog for a few days. She sent pictures to let me know how he was doing and gave him lots of attention. She followed all of the detailed instructions I sent and returned him safe and sound. I’ll have to leave him with her again the next time I go out. Highly recommend!
Thanks so much for taking care of our pups the last few days. This was the first time we’ve done this as we’ve always boarded them previously. Mariell was great and we and the dogs couldn’t have been happier. She sent us pictures and gave us updated throughout the day which was great. Wev will definitely use her again if she’s available. I prefer to care for pets in their own home environment. Meeting a new person is intimidating enough, so doing it in their own space seems to help when that is possible. I'm also always sure to bring in the mail each day, stop by when any packages are expected to be delivered, and I ensure to make it appear that you haven't left town in order to keep your home safe and secure.

I like to make sure I know a dog's routines before spending time with them, as I would like them to be as comfortable with me as possible. I also want the transition of my stay to your return to be as smooth as possible and to be as little of a disruption as I can be.
A typical day
I love taking walks through local parks or trails, but if none are in a close radius to your home, I'm more than happy to take a nice walk through your neighborhood. I'm practically a professional tennis ball thrower and love spending time outside with dogs! However, my dog is a homebody and loves napping and cuddling on the couch, which I'm more than happy to do with them as well.

My class and work schedule essentially mimic a 9-5 daily schedule. For any pet that is used to having their owners gone for the workday or is used to being alone for a few hours here and there, our schedules usually mesh pretty well!
