Dedicated Home and Walking Care
Pet care experience
I have three years experience working at dog boarding facilities. My responsibilities included health checks, supervising play, topical and oral medication administration, feeding, and maintaining a clean space. I also worked to re-enforce any behavior the clients dictated. Before my most recent move, I had several repeat dog sitting customers. The smallest a 13 year old yorkie mix. The largest a three year old golden retriever. I do have some experience walking larger dogs like Great Danes.
Reviews
My adoptive dog, Bo, is very anxious and has difficulty warming to new people. Maggie was able to overcome his fears and bond with him. She is very reliable and kind. She follows individual household instructions well, including when to feed, walk and administer medications.

Safety, trust & environment
When we first meet I will check how comfortable your dog is around me. After introductions I will get a brief medical history, ask about any behaviors you want re-enforced, and learn where you keep important items (leash, food/water bowls, clothes to wipe dirty paws, etc.) I will go on a test walk which you are welcome to join. Before the first visit ends I will ask about desired walk time, what weather is okay to walk in, and what places your dog is most comfortable walking. If you are interested in my dog sitting services, I would require a slightly more in depth home visit.
Information Margaret W. would like to know about your pet
Are there any health concerns? Behaviors I should not do or re-enforce? Where commonly used dog supplies are stored. I have no breed preferences.
A typical day
Long walks, fetch, tug of war, cuddling.
Services
Margaret can watch in your home
Availability
Thursday-Sunday I am available 5am-6pm for hour long sessions of dog walking. I am a full time GVSU student with limited availability Monday-Wednesday. However, due to covid-19 policies I will be free some weeks more than others. I will keep you up to date on any changes. For dog sitting I will need a week's notice. I am willing to stay overnight or just come early the next morning to take care of the dog's needs. Access to wifi would be appreciated to do homework, but I can also go home instead. I will ask for an additional $2 per day fee to cover the commute back and forth if that is the case.
