Dogs are family and I respect that
Pet care experience
I have been a foster for the local animal shelter for 4years. I've seen many different dogs from different backgrounds and situations. I have had special needs dogs, senior dogs, bottle puppies, and more in my care. Over the past few years as the fosters have been adopted I have kept relationships with some of the families and began offering sitting and walking services. Every dog is different and every family is different. I work to get to know both the families and the dogs and try to keep the same care and love that they receive from their family. Learning who your dog is and discovering their quirks is one of my favorite things. I always count myself priveleged to be trusted to care for the best members of the family.

Margaret did a great job caring for our senior indoor cat while we were out of town. She was very gentle with our old girl and gave her lots of attention. We received photos and updates daily. Would definitely hire Margaret again!
Our Weimaraner requires a great deal of love and attention and she always gets that at Margaret's house. It makes it easier to enjoy our vacation when we know Lily isn't missing us terribly because she is still being loved on.
Margaret and her husband were fabulous with my dogs. I definitely recommend this couple for anyone who needs their services.

I have no breed preferences but please let me know if your dog has any aggressions(food, toy, etc.), fears, food allergies, and their level of house training. Safety is my biggest concern so I need to know how to keep your dog safe, other visiting dogs safe, and my own dog and cat safe the more you can tell me about your dog the better! I like to do meet and greets with all new dogs to ensure they get along with my dog and to get to know them and you before their stay.
A typical day
Dogs are allowed on furniture and in bed unless you train them to stay off then we will respect that and keep them down just let me know. They are allowed to run and play to their heart's content inside. We have lots of toys and playtime is always monitored. Our back yard is fenced but I do not let dogs outside unmonitored. There will always be someone outside with them. Please let me know if you have any questions or a special request.
