Hello! I have grown up with dogs and cats my entire life, from puppies and kittens through death (and consequently illness, medicine, incontinence, etc.). I am used to caring for animals on a daily basis and love forming bonds with animals. I was a volunteer coordinator for the Humane Society of the Ozarks, as well as volunteered with the Humane Society of Greater Kansas City, Wayside Waifs, and KC Pet Project, so I am used to transporting dogs, exercising them, keeping track in a public place, and making sure animals I am with are taken care of, happy, and comfortable. I will do whatever possible to make your pets feel as comfortable as possible. Note: I work from home, so I can be with your animals all day! I do have several standing commitments in the evenings, but your pets will never be alone longer than 6 hours without prior discussion!

Maggie did an excellent job pet sitting at our home over the weekend. She kept us updated with photos of our doodle and cat throughout her stay, ensuring they were happy and well-cared for. We returned to a clean house and content pets. We will definitely hire Maggie again!

Maggie was excellent with our two dogs. After more than 2 weeks away the dogs were happy and contented upon our return. She cared for them exactly as we asked - and went beyond in giving them attention. We received regular pictures and updates during our vacation - which was so reassuring and helped make us smile while so far from our boys. Maggie was also a great hit with our neighbors and dog-friends - many of whom have since told us they saw Maggie out with our boys often. They added that Maggie was great with the dogs and got on with everyone else too. She is a great find…! (This is our second time using her).

The main things I would like to know about an animal I will be sitting is their behavioral habits with people and other animals, their likes and dislikes, and any special circumstances that may pertain to the animal.
A typical day
I love going to the park with dogs, taking them on walks, and any other adventures they may enjoy. If they are well-behaved around other dogs, I would love to take them to the dog park. I am also happy to keep them in the back yard and play fetch, tug-o-war, and anything else they enjoy. With cats, I know they can be more private, and I will gladly honor whatever level of interaction they are comfortable with while still ensuring they are well cared for.

Availability
I work from home, so if I am pet sitting, I have lots of flexibility with your animals - if they are used to being crated and you want to keep that up, I can honor that; or if you want them to spend the days around the house, we can make that work, too! Working from home means I can easily accomodate whatever schedule is needed.
