Animals have always been a central part of my life. Referred to by all of my family and friends as "the animal whisperer," I've always had a natural ability for connection with our furry companions. When you walk into a crowded room, you'll often find me on the floor petting the animals. I've always had a deep love and passion for caring for them, as they unapologetically give us boundless love in return. I promise to provide your pets with my undivided attention, catering to their wants and needs to ensure your furry family member is well cared for and loved while you are away. When you entrust your pets to my care, you're not just hiring a pet sitter—you're gaining a devoted companion who will go above and beyond to ensure their happiness and well-being. Whether it's tailored walks, stimulating playtime, or just plenty of cuddles and affection, I'll provide personalized attention to meet your pets' every need. I grew up in Virginia Beach but have been traveling as a Chef for the past 10 years. Recently, I moved back to Virginia Beach to aid in caretaking for my father as he battles ALS. I decided to re-start pet sitting through Rover as I navigate this life and career transition and so I thank you in advance for giving me the opportunity to care for your pet during this time!

Maggie was an wonderful caretaker for our 10 year old Golden. She sent us pictures and texts about the dog throughout the stay. Maggie kept out dog from being lonely with walks and attention. Maggie, herself, is an exceptionally responsible and kind young lady. She was flexible in her dog sitting hours due to our late arrive back home. She is hard working and honest. I will certainly be contacting her again for our dog again. Maggie is the best!
We have 2 dogs, 1 of which is very nervous around new people. He, however, went right up to Maggie! It's obvious she's a dog person and I'd trust her to walk, dog sit, or just hangout with my dogs anytime!
Maggie is so friendly and was such a sweetheart. She genuinely cared about my dogs as her own. She played and gave them love while I was out. I trust Maggie 100% and I highly recommend her.

I believe in starting every assignment with a heartfelt conversation, sitting down with pet parents to learn about their furry companions' unique personalities, routines, and needs. Once we've covered the essentials, it's all about maintaining a sense of comfort and familiarity, sticking closely to their regular feeding and playtime schedules to keep tails wagging and whiskers purring. Whether it's serving up meals with an extra sprinkle of love or embarking on leisurely strolls around the neighborhood, I'm dedicated to providing attentive care every step of the way. And when it comes to those special moments, like administering medications or offering a comforting embrace during a storm, consider it handled with care and compassion. I adore all breeds and have experienced caring for many different types. Before caring for your dog, I would like to know of any special information or concerns. For example, if your dog (as does my senior dog), gets anxiety with thunderstorms, I will be sure to provide extra comfort and relaxing music to ensure your dog remains calm during thunder and lightning. Any special requests I am happy to perform, as my goal and hope is to make your dog as comfortable and happy as possible. Feel free to let me know any special or unique details about your dog that can help me better provide the care and support they require while you are away!
A typical day
Plenty of belly rubs and kisses. A good opponent for tug of war and an expert at playing fetch. If your dog is like my 17-year old dog and likes to just lay low, I will provide positive, relaxed company, and plenty of compliments! "Pretty girl, good boy, etc. etc." I am young, energetic, and have a love and passion for animals (dogs in specific), and I can cater my activities to your dogs likes and personality. Whether it's just some petting and loving, or a run together around the back yard, you name it and I am happy to do it!

I am currently on Family and Medical Leave from work as I am assisting with caretaking for my parent. Due to this, I have a very flexible and open schedule.
