Pet care experience
Hi! I'm Lydia! I've been using Rover as a customer for over 8 years-- ever since my sweetheart and I got our nutty-adorable-weirdo cockapoo pup, Loup, who recently passed at the tender age of 18. My partner and I have decided to "pay it forward" by hosting good dogs whenever we’re able! I know how important is it to feel like you have a dog-babysitter you can trust, to take care of your BFF-- Loup had bad separation anxiety, so we had to leave him with dogsitters quite a bit. I want you to know that I'm committed to providing your dog a safe, happy, comfortable visit with me. I love complex feeding requirements, and will happily uphold any training modes you require for your dog. But, mainly, we will be lazy and go on some walks. That’s not the only experience we’ve had with ancient dogs, and we are very gentle around here.
Reviews
Lydia was so accommodating with my last minute schedule which was very much appreciated. As soon as my dog walked into her home he caught up with her sweet doggie for a walk around the house and didn't even care that I was leaving him. My dog Toby even took a liking to human Toby who lives with Lydia, which was comforting to know because he really appreciates someone letting him be clingy. It was my first time leaving my dog with a sitter and Lydia made me feel very assured. Will definitely be using her again. And the pricing was reasonable and affordable!!
As a dog parent, I know leaving your dogs with anyone is a big deal which is why I'm so happy to recommend Lydia to the Rover community! She has her own sweet rescue dog, Loup, and just seeing her dedication to him is enough to know that any dog is in great hands while in her care. You can be confident that your dogs will be well loved and taken care of. I give Lydia the highest recommendation possible!
Lydia's the best! I'd not only trust her with my dog's life, I'd trust her with my own! I couldn't imagine a better a dog sitter.

Information Lydia F. would like to know about your pet
Ideally, I'd love to host a well-behaved dog that is around the same size as our dog (15-30 lbs). While I know that your gigantic, untrained puppy is a ton o' fun and a lot o' laffs, I don't think it would be the greatest fit for us. We're more interested in relatively small, older dogs. Bigger dogs are ok, too, as long as they're sweet and chill! :)
A typical day
We have an off-leash park area nearby (Woodlawn School) that we can walk to. We'll play fetch in the backyard, and laze in the sun if it's sunny, and curl up and read books or study if it's cruddy out!
