Pet care experience
I have always had dogs as pets both my own and for my son, who has now grown up and left home. He initially made me consider dog sitting after he spent a couple of years pet sitting whilst on his travels. I had the pleasure of staying with him whilst he was looking after various dog breeds and realised I had forgotten just how much fun they are to be around. I would love to have another dog of my own, however as I am self employed I cannot commit full time to taking care of my own pets. Hence why I have signed up to Rover.com. I often work from home and would appreciate having dogs around to keep me company and give me a chance to go for a long walk and get some much needed fresh air. I am often out walking and even walk to raise money for charity. I would love some company when out and about and so I have decided to give Rover a try. Being deaf gives me a huge advantage when connecting with dogs as I feel they can sense that I am deaf and often respond well to sign language commands. Because I travel extensively for work I make a point of ensuring that I am home most weekends. I can often be found pottering around in my garden, keeping it nice and watering my flowers. When I am out there I often find myself feeling like something is missing. I think that having dogs running around the garden would bring some additional life to my little oasis. I have personal experience with both pedigrees and mongrels, and my sons last dog was a pure breed rescue dog that came with additional needs that meant she found it difficult to socialise with other dogs. She was extremely placid and good-natured and i quickly realised that she hadn't been treated very well by her previous owners. we ended up having Cassie for over 10 years and she quickly became a member of our family. I feel that I would be quick to recognise any dogs that need extra care and attention and would be able to identify what they needed to feel safe and comfortable with me.
Reviews
We used Louise as a last minute pet sitter, for which she was very accommodating! We were very apprehensive about our dog Kain going to a sitter, but he fell in love with Louise from the minute she opened her door, we were do relieved by that. During Kains visit we got regular updates and pictures and saw our boy was having a lovely evening! We would definitely do this again, she made us feel at such ease. I highly recommend Louise.
Louise was amazing with Scout. A really lovely lady. We felt very comfortable leaving Scout with Louise and we would leave here there again. Thank you Louise.
Louise is a very caring animal lover, she would be a great dog sitter, I would have no hesitation on employing her to look after you two dogs.

Information Louise H. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know if your dog has any dietary requirements, history of aggression, illness, allergies or medications. I wouldn't be happy to take care of aggressive dogs as I appreciate just how much work they can be however I am sure I could manage any of the other requirements listed.
A typical day
I have a number of parks and nature reserves nearby including Aldenham Counrtry Park, Golders Hill Park and Hampstead Heath. I have taken part in a number of walks for charity and hope to complete more in the future. My aim is to build up my experience by completing a number of shorter walks as and when and so I would like to have dogs to keep me company. Depending on the needs of the dogs I would be happy to tailor my walks and the amount of mileage I do.
