Pet care experience
I have had all kinds of pets my entire life. The last 6+ years I have owned a dog behavior rehabilitation facility, and currently run a cage-free boarding/day camp/training & grooming facility in Valley Center CA. My love and dep understanding of dogs, along with my daily experience as a professional caregiver, has given me a true understanding of all animals from the animal's perspective. My calm demeanor is crucial to gaining a dog's trust and respect. I am available to walk in your neighborhood or there are many amazing trails in Valley Center to walk or for a more intense workout I can take your dog on an uphill hike. I am also able to do group walks and 60 minute walks or hikes.
Reviews
I highly recommend Lori. She has been pet sitting my two dogs for the past 3 years. She was a godsend. I travel extensively for my job was recently divorced and extremely stressed out about the care of my dogs. She has become my dogs second "mother" and has even seen them through my dog's health crisis when I was out of town. They are happy and healthy and alwats happy so see Lori. She is more than a pet sitter. She is part of my dogs family!
Lori has much experience in dealing with dogs & takes great care of the dogs in her care. Your dog will be in great hands with Lori!

Information Lori M. would like to know about your pet
I have no breed preferences. My vast experience with all breeds of dogs with behavior issues has given me a true understanding of dogs at their level. In our first meeting I will ask how the dogs are handled and what the owners do to manage them in their home. This information will tell me a lot about the dog before I ever take them on a walk or interact with them. We also offer discount package deals that must be paid in advance. Please email or call for more details...
A typical day
We love taking walks on trails around town, or hikes in the hills. We also have a wonderful fenced play yard on my 10 acre property that is perfect for off leash play time with other dogs. We also have a pool for summer fun. We have a very large fenced yard for playing fetch as well. All of the dogs in our care receive lots of love, calm-assertive discipline when needed, and are treated with respect and kindness at all times. If you would like your dog to have a bath, we can do that as well. I have worked full time for the last 5 years with dogs who have severe or moderate behavior issues, so I understand how to deal with dominant dogs, fearful dogs, separation anxiety, and over-excitement. If your dog is extremely high energy, I suggest we use our treadmill to run him or her prior to the leashed walk or socialized play time with other dogs to drain their excess energy. We want to help your dogs become balanced and happy through exercise, discipline and affection.
