Pet care experience
My partner and I currently work and foster through a local animal shelter, where I had volunteered before being hired on as staff. Working among the operations and veterinary teams has given us experience providing care for a high volume (up to 100 dogs, 150+ cats at a time) as well as tailored care for critically ill patients. We've gained from this great insight to plenty of pet personalities and what it takes to care for each one. We are experienced with medical conditions, behavioral challenges, and how to act in animal emergencies. I have provided a variety of services (walking, house-sitting for dogs, cats, and critters, some boarding, and even assistance with puppy training) through Rover for several years. In between caring for pets via Rover, my partner and I, along with the help of our helpful resident pup, foster all types of pets from our local shelter. This has given us in-home, hands-on experience with cats, dogs, and critters with challenges ranging from bottle baby neonatal kittens, to cats on medical treatment requiring subcutaneous fluids, to pregnant and nursing critters, to dogs with medical and/or behavioral needs, and more. Please consider our home for your pet's next daycation or slumber party!

Liza is wonderful with our dogs. She is constantly sending relevant updates while we’re away so we know how they’re doing and isn’t shy about clarifying to make sure they’re receiving the correct care if there is any doubt in their feeding or care instructions. We have used her several times and are never disappointed.

Liza was wonderful, communicative, and our dogs very quickly jived with her and her home. You can tell how much the household is for animal lovers, so you immediately know they're in good hands. What's more, I even think my dogs got some good habits from staying with her. Absolutely recommended!
Was great! Send pictures of our dogs playing together and treated her like one of the family. It would have been cool to see more pictures throughout the entire day but there's always room for improvement :-) very happy and will definitely let Gria board here again.

We have a fully fenced yard with an additional driveway gate. Escape-savvy dogs can be kept on a long leash during supervised yard play. There are several crate size options for pups who do well with being crated at night or while home alone. We do have a home security camera system which we can use to monitor pets while we are out of the house.

Prior to a stay, we would like to know if your pet has experience living with other dogs or cats, being left alone in someone's home that isn't your own, and any requests or expectations you have for your pet's care. We are able to accommodate many medical or behavioral challenges if we are prepared adequately ahead of time!
A typical day
A typical day at our house is a healthy balance of playing with toys in the yard, cuddling on the couch, and being mentally engaged with food puzzles. Pups are provided with frozen treats and soothing music while we are out of the house, and are welcome to snuggle under the blankets or stretch out in their own space when it's time for bed.

Availability
My partner and I both work full time. At least one of us is home 4 days per week, and on the days we both work, we are able to come home midday to let pups out for potty breaks. Pets who can be left alone for a few hours at a time (crated or otherwise) are preferred.
