Pet care experience
“Dogs are not our whole life, but they make our lives whole.” ― Roger A. Caras Do you get that sinking feeling, knowing that you have to leave your dog while you're away on vacation or working long hours? I've been there too! But send them my way, and you'll never have to feel that way again. When your dogs stay with us, they are part of the pack here, part of our family. From exercise to cuddles, your dog(s) will never feel bored or lonely. I've had dogs all my life, I've fostered young pups, old geezers, and nursed sick dogs back to health. I love doing it, and you'll know it when your dog returns home, tired and happy. Our two dogs, Maude and Henry, love having company. They are always excited to welcome new friends into our home, and to show them the ropes. They are both playful and friendly; they are well socialized and very used to meeting new friends. Having them here certainly eases any nervousness some dogs may experience being away from home. **** If there is a pet service you need, which is not listed on the site, please feel free to ask me about it. Chances are... I can do it for you! So please ask if you have any questions. THIS INCLUDES OTHER ANIMALS AS WELL, not just dogs.****
Reviews
Easy to book at fairly short notice, and we came home to happy puppies! What more can you ask for. We would definitely contact her again!
Liz has now kept our two dogs, Carmen and Macy, twice. She is wonderful to work with. The first time they stayed, I had originally only booked day care. However, our plans changed and she was able to accomodate us and keep them over night. She even made them Easter baskets full of treats and toys to send home with them that Sunday morning! She sent me lots of pictures and it was obvious that my girls were having a blast.
We are happy repeat customers! Our pup Darwin was in good hands while we were away. Liz's updates were much appreciated. Thanks, Liz!
Liz came to our house to take care of our dog Fiona. Our dog is very afraid of strangers. Liz was great with her. She came over before we left and took extra care to try to make her feel at ease. She sent us pictures while we were gone with Fiona on her lap! We were impressed with how much she loves and cares for dogs! We felt confident that Fiona had the best care possible and we have never been so relaxed about leaving her. We hope she will always be available when we plan on going out of town!

Information Liz W. would like to know about your pet
I like to know about what motivates them, (i.e. food, praise, toys, etc.), any nervous ticks or dislikes, (i.e. sounds, other types of animals, food aggressive, etc.), how they react with children around age 5, and anything else that would be useful. However, I get a good feel for dog personalities pretty soon after meeting them. No breed preferences or restrictions. I am currently a stay-at-home human, so I can be here nearly 100% with the dogs! I'd like to know any particular training methods used, so that I can keep consistency for you and your dog. Additionally, if there are any habits you are working on or behaviors you are trying to correct or encourage, please let me know, and I will be happy to keep up the work while your dog is with us.
A typical day
I work with my dogs throughout the day on manners and basic commands, using treats and positive attention, and I do the same with any other dogs that stay with us. Dogs that are busy are dogs that are happy! It's a promise that your dog(s) will return home happy and tired. *** I will always send updates with photos of your dogs having a great time! Notes about Drop-In Visits: My rate for drop-in visits beyond a 10 mile drive is the base rate provided on the 'Rates' page, and an additional $2 per mile outside a 10-mile distance from my home. While I'm there: I'll spend time with your pets, giving them tons of affection, exercise, food, water, and anything else they might need, all from the comforts of their own home. If there is anything specific you'd like me to do with your pets, just let me know and it will be done!
