Pet care experience
To start, I love dogs, and am one of those people that will compliment dogs and their owners that I see on the street. I have had dogs my entire life, I was born into a rescue-dog family with a German shepherd and three lab/lab-mixes, which have all passed on to dog-heaven. My father now has an Anatolian shepherd (also rescued), but I love all size dogs--my mother has a pug & shitzu. I worked at an animal sanctuary and got to care for and love displaced dogs that were sometimes a bit aggressive due to their circumstances or the circumstances in their home prior to the sanctuary (i.e. I'm not the type to be fearful of dogs or certain breeds) I am patient, loving, understanding, and am happy to be covered in fur.

Linnea was a phenomenal dog sitter for George & Bailey. She accommodated us with very last-minute notice, and was super understanding and attentive to all of George & Bailey's idiosyncrasies and special needs. I felt immediately comfortable with Linnea and 100% trusting of leaving my home and fur-babies in her very capable hands. Everything was perfect and Linnea was super responsive throughout the weekend! We hope to use Linnea again in the future!
Linnea was incredibly kind and trustworthy when meeting with her. She was flexible and willing to fully understand our needs/schedule and ensuring it would work with what she could offer. Her messages throughout the trip were extremely comforting. She is very genuine and passionate about the pups she cares for. I look forward to having my dogs fall under her care again soon as I know they were loved and cared for throughout their time together.
I've had a few people watch my dog Jerry for me while I have been away for work, but Linnea definitely redefined my expectations. Jerry was walked twice a day for 3 miles a piece and played with to boot! When I returned home, Linnea was returning from a walk with Jerry and my dog was loving life! Would highly recommend Linnea to watch your dog, she does a great job!
Ever since I've known Linnea she has had a family dog, and she treats each one of them like part of her family. She once threw a birthday party for her old dog Libby, it was the sweetest and most genuine thing. When Linnea comes over to my house she loves to play with my dog, she even offers to take her out for walks. She truely is a dog lover. I would without a doubt leave her alone with my dog whenever I go away.

I would like to have an idea about his or her temperament, how they may be when they first meet people, any specific likes or dislikes, if there is anything that they are afraid of (e.g. my current dog is afraid of belts) and any special skills like opening pantries or rabbit hunting. I can certainly make time to meet you and your pup(s) before caring for them for maximum comfort of the dog(s) since they will meet me with his/her/their owner!
A typical day
I just moved to Raleigh, so I am open to take suggestions on where to walk, but I have a lot of exploring to do, so anywhere is great! I am great at throwing frisbees, balls, and sticks. Also, I am a runner and will run with your dog(s) if you (& your dog) would like. I drive an Outback, so there is definitely room in my car for transportation for a big dog or multiple dogs. I couldn't find how to put this in my scheduling, but I can be available Monday-Thursday for drop-ins and walks in the early morning or late-evening.
