I train, groom, + care for dogs 🐶

Pet care experience

(Disclaimer that some of the photos on my profile seem random because they are- Rover adds any and all pictures that I send to owners to my profile so you may see a few things that look out of place lol.) Hello, my name is Lindsey but I go by Lee :) I’m a dog trainer and a dog groomer, but I actually don’t have any dogs! I have three cats (all foster failures thanks to the fact I also work in rescue 🙄🤣) and a Senegal Parrot. I’ve been working in the pet care field since 2017. I grew up on a chicken farm in the backwoods of Somerset, KY (and I promise you they STINK!! 😂) which is where my love for caring for animals started. We had a gorgeous German shepherd/border collie mix dog who was our herding dog (that I trained myself :)). I started out volunteering at a training facility in Somerset, KY, where I was under dog trainers (such as retired/kennel masters). I trained my first Service Animal there, and his name was Flynn (wonderful standard poodle)! In 2020ish, I moved to ATL, GA where I continued on my dog training and worked with wonderful people to try different training methods and types of working dogs (service animals, police and military dogs) and learning how to care for them. I think it was by far the best time of my life working with retired police K-9’s and their handlers! In 2021, I moved here to Alabama, where I worked at a boarding facility/grooming salon for half a year and parted ways to begin doing Rover, cat rescue, and dog grooming together so I could directly work with more animals. As of 2024, I’ve been doing rover for 3 years and have nothing less than 5 stars reviews from every client I’ve ever had, with many repeats. I pride myself in the way I interact with animals, them being my everything. I’ve never loved a job as much as I do now that I do Rover 🥰. You don’t get a smile on your face the way you do when you’re spending time with animals :) I’m experienced in caring for dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, hamsters, farm animals such as chickens (like I said, I grew up on a chicken farm😂), horses (we own horse stables/horses and donkeys in Newton), cows, etc. as well as elderly and senior pets! Whatever animals you have, rest assured that I know what to do :) Also, if you need your dogs looking spiffy and nice, come see me ❤️ You can add a grooming onto your sitting if you’d like, we just need to discuss pricing beforehand. *Additional information that is important* I believe in absolute transparency about who you’re having come into your home to watch your pet, and you deserve to know what kind of person you’re leaving your fur baby with. I take pride in being as open and honest as possible with my clients, which is why I like to make it known ahead of time that I have a heart condition (POTS/postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome), which absolutely does NOT hinder me from being able to do my job at nothing less than 110% effort, I just like to make it known that I am prone to falls sometimes but you will NEVER be held liable if I have a fall in your home. My medical condition is my responsibility, and your pet will not be put in jeopardy because I have extensive measures I take to make sure that your pet will be taken care of very well :) If you have any more questions on this, please feel free to ask but rest assured, that in my two years of doing Rover I have never once had any issues with a client or their pet, because I have a system to do what I do, and a way to work around my disability in the most efficient and safe way possible for you, your pet, and for me <3 Additional Info: I always require two modes of entry into the home in case of emergencies (power goes out and garage door doesn’t work, key breaking in lock, etc.). Final Note: I also work with cat rescues in the area and do many TNR’s (trap/neuter/release). If you or someone you know has stray or feral cats around your home that need fixed, I can get males fixed for $16 and females for $45, and I will trap, transport, and release them if you can cover the cost of the fix. A lot of my clients surprisingly have lots of strays around their homes they want to get fixed to avoid breeding and a surplus of kittens. Know that there are resources out here for you :)

We had the best experience! She was very thoughtful and caring with our two dogs (that can be a handful). We got lots of pictures and updates! Will DEFINITELY be booking with her again!

I don’t do boarding or daycare, but every time I do drop ins, walks, or house sitting, rest assured that your pet is my #1 priority. Your pet will have fresh water every day (unless you’d prefer otherwise), clean bowls before you get home, and bathroom breaks around every 6-8 hours (so long as it fits in my work schedule). They’ll get plenty of socialization and play time, and all the love they could ever want <3 *I also will always clean before you come home! You deserve to come home to a clean home after you’ve been away from your fur babies for so long! This includes sweeping any room I’ve been in, mopping the floors (if you’d like), and I can even bathe/brush your pet as well if you want (if you have a brush for me to use- brushing is no extra charge but bathing your pet will be an extra fee that can be discussed and is no more than $10). I will also wipe the kitchen counters (as I always wash the food and water bowl the day you return or the day before), and wash out the sink :)

A typical day

I will (if requested) take your pet out for a walk around your neighborhood, and log it in the rover app for you to see :) they’ll get plenty of play time, but I do apologize in advance that I don’t take dogs to the park because of the risk of other dogs being aggressive. I would never put your pets safety in jeopardy ♥️ *I reserve the right to refuse walking your dog on days where the temperature is 95°+, UNLESS you have proper protection for your dogs feet or request me to walk them at a cooler time (before 11am or after 7pm when the pavement cools down). At 95°, you can fry an egg in 15 minutes on the pavement! The pavement can also become *hotter* than the actual weather, so at 95°, the pavement can reach heats up to 105°, which is legally a hazard for your pup and can cause blistering. I just want what’s best for your pup and their safety. Thank you for your understanding :)
