Your dog's home away from home 🏡
Pet care experience
Hi neighbor! We'd love to welcome your dog into our home in Brooklyn. Both Lauren and JM work 100% from home, so we have unlimited time and flexibility to shower your pup with love, toys, cuddles (& treats) while you're away. Lauren previously trained AKC Certified Therapy Dogs and JM is...well, he just loves dogs. We are parents to a 3 year old mini Bernedoodle named Minnie who is equal parts active and cuddly. Minnie grew up with an elderly Border Collie and Chihuahua and plays well with everyone, no matter their personality or temperament. We are an active family, often taking Minnie for runs around the neighborhood, sunrise walks over the Brooklyn Bridge, driving upstate for hikes, and exploring as much of the area as we can. Our apartment has plenty of room and space for play and two paw-rents who are ready to play.
Reviews
Lauren and John Michael are loving pet owners and pet sitters. They have taken exceptional care and ensure always a safe environment. They are great.
Lauren and JM have watched my precious pooch for years now - sometimes I think Sadie likes their apartment more than ours. They send multiple updates throughout the day (photos and videos - which always make us happy on our vacations to know she is happy and getting lots of treats). Very attentive, and active, and love that Sadie gets to play with their dog Minnie while she stays!

Safety, trust & environment
Our apartment is a large duplex with plenty of room and natural sunlight upstairs and downstairs. If there's ever a safety concern, we're able to separate dogs that don't get along as well. There is a large, fenced dog enclosure (the Marcy Green Dog Park) a few blocks from our apartment. We are open to taking your pup there if you'd like! We are also happy to give your dog a bath at home before pickup.

Information Lauren & John L. would like to know about your pet
Before we accept, it would be great to know about: - Your dog's normal daily routine - Your dog's absolute favorite thing in the world - What motivates them? - Any environmental triggers or reactivity to other dogs or stimuli? - Any behavior you watch out for with your dog? - Are they allowed around other dogs, and under what circumstances? - Do they have separation anxiety?
A typical day
We cater the day to your dog's needs and energy level! Every day is a new adventure over here in our Williamsburg dog-wonderland! We're typically up early and on a morning walk around the neighborhood. Once we get back and eat breakfast, our dog will typically rest for a while. We take a play and potty break around lunch time – if the weather is nice we might go work at a dog-friendly cafe for the afternoon. In the afternoon and evening it's time for more play, walks, training, or a trip to the dog park. If it's a weekend, we might drive upstate for a morning hike and picnic.

Lauren works from home in a creative field with non-traditional and flexible hours. JM also works from home on a more traditional 9 to 5 schedule but with tons of flexibility as well. JM normally takes the mornings and evenings – including feeding – while Lauren handles the daytime responsibilities.
