Information that would be beneficial for me to know ahead of time is how much care the dog might need and any special needs as well as any allergies or special food instructions. It would also be very beneficial to know how well the dog does in social situations ( at the dog park, saying hello to other dogs on walks and hikes, if they experience anxiety in any particular social situations, etc.). If a dog is an escape artist or likes to eat out of trash cans, this would also be good for to know ahead of time so I can put the proper precautions in place!

I love seeing dogs and other animals mentally stimulated and fulfilling their potential. My dog is a hunting breed so I take her on frequent hikes and give her plenty of opportunities to complete tasks that give her a sense of duty. I love to teach her new skills. Every breed has their own “purpose” and I love seeing dogs have time to live in line with it. My reward is seeing the happiness on their faces and their focus when they feel that they’re completing an important task. I know it was a job well done after these “play” and learning times when the happy camper naps for hours after having been stimulated physically and mentally. With the okay from the owner, I also like to let them socialize with my own dog or at the dog park.
