Hello my name is Lauren! I am 32 years old, born and raised in Alberta, Canada. I moved to Florida over 8 years ago, and have been walking dogs daily since then. Rover is the perfect job for me, as I can give your animals love and attention, while also giving you peace of mind and a stress free work day or vacation, knowing your pets are being loved on! My family has had cats and dogs since I was very young, and has been volunteering with The Pacific Assistance Dogs Society (PADS) since 2013. PADS has provided me with hands on training designed for teaching 'polite' behaviour to service animals. There are many strategies and tactics I have used through the years with leash training (pulling issues), in house accidents, barking and attentiveness to name a few. If there are any questions or specific behavioural characteristics you would like to know more about, I am happy to help! In 2016 I lived in the busy city centre of Toronto, Canada where I worked Full-Time as a dog walker and sitter. I have experience walking up to 6 dogs at a time, ensuring each has its needs taken care of. Pet sitting animals within their own home I find gives them and their owners greater comfort while gone. Knowing someone is there to take care of your home as well as keep your loving animals in a familiar space can give an extra layer of comfort while you're away. I have a very flexible schedule with the ability to switch shifts if necessary. I work part time so will be able to spend lots of one on one time with your pets while you are away! I am happy to work with you to learn about your dog's routine and behavior to ensure they get the best possible care while you are away. I am happy to work with you to learn all about your pup and your instructions to make sure they get everything they need. I know how hard it can be to leave your pet with someone so I will make sure to send lots of updates and photos so you know they are having a blast.
