Pet care experience
I love all types of animals! I had dogs while growing up, and I currently help my parents with their absolutely perfect pitbull. I also have two cats of my own. I am happy to stop by to check on your little ones or talk them for walks. I am unable to keep any animals at my house, but I am happy to house sit if your animal prefers the comforts of his/her own home. I will not leave my animals with just anyone, so I understand how hard it can be to trust someone with your pets. But - I will treat your pets as if they were my own. I love showering cats and dogs with attention and can’t wait to be able to help some of the best Charleston residents (all the cat and dog owners)!

Lara has taken care of my two cats, Bob and Toast, 8+ times. They adore her. Bob can be shy, but around Lara he feels totally comfortable and opens right up! She does more than just feed them and scoop their litter box, she spends time playing with them and keeping them engaged. She also always makes sure to send me lots of updated and photos which I love! Leaving your pet with someone can be intimidating and cause anxiety, but I feel 100% comfortable with Lara.
Lara took care of my dog on several occasions. It made me feel better that she is a pet owner herself and truly cares for my dog as if he were her own! My dog would be so excited when she came by which let me know he was well cared for when I was gone. She always showed up on time and was communicative anytime she was caring for my dog. It truly put my mind at ease knowing my pup was in good hands and I could better enjoy my time away knowing he was having a great time.

Please let me know if your dog has any favorite walking routes or areas we should avoid! I know my parents’ dog prefers routes where we don’t run into other dogs, so I always take that into account when planning out our route.
A typical day
I love taking long walks with dogs and letting them explore all the scents along the way. I also love playing a good game of fetch and have even been known to tire dogs out with some tug-a-war!
