Pet care experience
My husband and I love animals; we've got 8 chickens, a dog, and a cat! My first job as a kid was taking care of neighbor's pets and I've been doing so ever since. Our dog loves having new friends to play with. We've got a two story home that is pet friendly, with tons of windows for people watching. About this sitter: We're a pair of dog lovers that would love to make new K-9 friends! Why I love dog sitting I got my first dog 4 years ago, and I'm hooked. I don't see my life without one. My husband grew up with dogs his entire life and can't envision life without one. Meet my pets 8 chickens 1 cat 1 dog About my yard We have a completely fenced in backyard (chicken-proof!), that is grassed, partially shaded by several trees and a patio covering, and is about 1000 square feet. We've got a few garden boxes, a chicken coop, and more than enough space for the dogs to sunbathe or romp around. My experience administering medication I have administered ocular, and oral medications, and subcutaneous fluids. I'm familiar with recognizing allergic reactions in dogs, and always have a large bottle of Benadryl on hand (our dog is allergic to bees!).

Kylah was great with my boys! They stayed the weekend and came home very pooped out! Kylah sent text updates with a couple photos. She also has a great back yard and since she has her own fur-baby, her home is already very dog friendly! My boys seemed happy to be there...and even my Charlie kept staring out the window at her house as we prepared to leave.

Kylah and Chris did a fantastic job watching Roxy while we were traveling abroad for several weeks. After several unfortunate stays with other dog sitters, their home was a breath of fresh air for Roxy. We received updates from them regularly, and could tell that Roxy was having a great time while we were away. I would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone looking for a dogsitter. Thanks again!
Kylah and Chris were awesome dogsitters for Milo during our trip to San Francisco. They sent us an update, took him on walks/runs, and basically made him a part of their family during his stay. I would definitely recommend them to our friends who are needing a place for their dog to stay while on a trip. Milo was super exhausted when we brought him back to our house -- I guess he had too much fun at Kylah and Chris' house!

A typical day
Here's where we'll take our walks We are located in a residential area with quiet streets that make for a nice, leisurely walking environment. We are an active bunch that enjoys running and hiking, so should your dog enjoy those too we'll probably go for a 4-6 mile run, and if the stay falls on a weekend, possibly a hike (maybe even a 14er). We also frequent dog parks to allow for social time, should the dogs enjoy such environments. Your dog's sleeping arrangement We're pretty open to the dogs sleeping where they like, as long as it falls within their owner's rules. Our bed is generally dog free, but we've been known to make some exceptions. We have a large crate and extra dog beds, as well. Time I'll spend with your dog My husband and I have staggered schedules during the work week, which allows us to be in contact with the animals no less than 16 hours a day, including a lunchtime visit.
