Come Stay/Play Alki Beach Pet Care
Pet care experience
I absolutely LOVE dogs and love getting outdoors on long beach, city, or forrest walks,..whatever your 🐕 needs. Im patient and affectionate with all breeds, but unfortunately am unable to board pitbulls or pitbull mix dogs....Living 1 block off of Alki beach and 3 blocks from Smitz Park allows your pet to get a beach walk or a beautiful forrest hills walk or a combo of both for the 1 hr walking experience. I Especially love dog boarding and getting to care for your furry when your unavailable. I have a separate pet bedroom to accommodate the dog who prefers alone sleep time/ Your pet will be a welcome and well cared for guest in my home. My home is split in 2 seperate levels to also accommodate smaller dogs. I have lived off Alki Beach for 9 years and am ready to welcome your pets to our home. Besides having 2 additional bedrooms downstairs, I have a very large doggie play living room, I have several regular local clients for doggie daycare. This is my full-time passion. I DO accept dogs up to 80 lbs. Smaller dogs that need a small dog environment are absolutely accommodated :) I care for your furry pups like my own. The downside of this for me is when they go home. Safety is always first, then the fun can begin. :)

Fantastic! My dogs are always happy when I pick them up.
Took great care of Biscuit. Excellent communication. Thank you!
Kimberly took great care of my dog Remi. Will definitely use again.
Walter had a great time at Kimberly’s! Kimberly was quick to reply to any questions and kept us in the loop with Walter’s care. He was in good hands while we were away :)

All dogs are required to provide proof of vaccination without exception. All dog feedings are done individually away from other dogs to eliminate resource guarding issues. I have a 6 ft tall cedar fence with a gate that is double bolted from the inside to prevent anyone from walking up and opening the gate and preventing any escapees :) all male dogs over 18 months old must be neutered. I will always have dogs from multiple families so it's important your pets are friendly with other dogs and well socialized. I do slow introductions with new dogs to make sure they are comfortable joining the pack. For smaller or senior dogs I'm able to provide a seperate space if necessary and pre-arranged. I do have seasonal help for holidays. Safety is always first priority, so any dog showing signs of aggression will be separated from the rest. Please be honest in your dogs behavioral disposition for the safety of all dogs. All dog Rover profiles need to be completely filled out with care instructions, vet and emergency contact information. Please bring your dogs crate with you at drop off, IF they use one for sleep. Dogs that howl or excessively bark cannot be accepted. The peace of my neighbors is extremely important. Dogs are kenneled or separated into seperate spaces any time I have to leave for dog walks or occasional errands. Since we spend lots of time outdoors playing, dogs may get slightly dirty. My home is cleaned and disinfected daily. Dogs that mark furniture are not welcome and any incidence of marking furniture, walls or destruction of any property will need to arrange compensation for damage or cleaning fees. I don't anticipate these issues, but try to prevent it by being upfront about what I'm looking for in the dogs I care for :)

Information Kimberly V. would like to know about your pet
I like to know if your dog has separation anxiety food aggression or other dog aggression. It's very helpful in knowing what to look for during their stay in my home to make it a safe environment and enjoyable for all. It's important to know if they have underlying health issues and what the possible signs are in relation to those health issues that they need medical care so I can monitor their health, this is really important especially with Senior dogs or dogs with special needs. Please bring enough food to last the stay with food pre-measured and labeled in individual ziplock bags Per meal...plus a extra two meals in case of flight delays..Out of respect for neighbors, barking must be kept to a minimum. If your dog is excessive on barking or whining, this is not the ideal setting for your pet.
A typical day
A typical day would start with a potty break then breakfast and water and of course another potty break. Lots of playtime and designated Naptime. Dogs love running through the kiddie pool. Dinner is typically around 5 pm, then dog walks and more playtime. Bedtime is usually at 9-9:30
