I have a little Maltese who is named Namu. I’ll be honest: he can be little bratty, is very inexhaustible and loves attention. But I've also cared for larger dogs who either have been through stressful situations in their past or who just have a little hard time socializing with other pets. I've also volunteered in a pet day care, walking, feeding, and making sure every dog had their daily dose of fun. Essentially, I’ve worked with every size and type of dog which I think makes me a perfect fit to work with Rover’s vast array of pups and their owners! I absolutely love dogs. I want to professionally work with dogs because it’s not only a dream job, but I find it to be so much fun! Being greeted every day but a grinning, happy pup is such a great experience and whether you had a great day or a bad day, they are there to keep you company and support you. Working as a pet sitter seems the ideal opportunity to meet all types of breeds and develop new friendships. I find it easy to become fast friends with most dogs because I have a gentle disposition and I use a variety of methods to make a dog who doesn’t know me comfortable and at ease. I have a great deal of patience as well, which helps me deal with any type of dog. I love hiking and some of my favorite spots in the city are Griffith Park and Runyon Canyon. I often bring Namu and would be thrilled to bring your pup with us. I have done this in the past with great success -- that success being a very exhausted puppy! I also have experience with other types of animals, including turtles, birds and small rodents. What I love about these other animals is that they are just as full of personality as dogs are because they all have their very own unique traits and I would love to offer care for these pets as well.
