Pet care experience
Hello Pawrents! We are very excited your thinking about using our services. As a daycare teacher and a mom of three small children, I implement a lot of my be kind be fair notions with everyone. Leaving your furfriend with us means lots of hugs and kisses, beach visits, family afternoon walks and being included in as many things as we can think of. It's hard when families go away for our furry family member, they may have anxiety and show it in a number of ways. Being able to exercise, socialize with others (2 and 4 legged creatures), talked to calmly and constant updates back to you are how we provide exceptional pet care. For our kitty counterparts in our home visits, we meet the cat where they are. Some just aren't comfortable with strangers and that's ok, we try toys and lazers to encourage play or just snuggling up and showing some affection. If administration of medicine is needed, I do that no problem. We always take things at the furry friends pace, never rushed, and always gentle. No matter the animal I watch them all.

Another fantastic stay for our pups with Kayla and her family! Thank you Kayla!
EXCELLENT CARE! Kayla and her family take better care of our 2 dogs than we do! So much so they don't want to leave when we come to take them home!
As is any pet parent, I was nervous about leaving my pets while we traveled. I had read very good reviews on the profile and so decided this would be a good fit - we even did a meet and greet beforehand where the pups got along splendidly. When we arrived to drop off the pups, the house was very messy and I worry one of my pups might have gotten into something left on the ground etc. While she was very communicative leading up to the visit, I struggled to get more than a “they’re doing ok” during the days we were gone or even a picture update. Additionally, I had left her with a certain amount of food appropriate for the duration of the stay. Both dogs came back with more than 70% of their food, which either means they weren’t eating or they were eating something which they were not permitted, despite the fact that I had hand written out very detailed instructions for both dogs. Additionally, one of my dogs takes medicines twice a day. If he didn’t even get his food, then I am worried as to how many days of his medicine he missed. However, the majority of the reason I am leaving such a low review is that as I was picking up my dogs, one of her daughters mentioned my dog running away. Now this is a very young girl who I don’t think would randomly lie about it. Kayla denied it of course, but the little girl was adamant that my dog had ran away and that “Mommy had caught her.” This is the very last thing you want to hear when you board your pet, and these statements were never addressed. I have used pet boarders/sitters before where they are upfront about any issue encountered. Communication during the stay was very poor and none of the issues described above were ever brought to my attention. I would not leave my dogs here again.
When we dropped Calvin off for his second stay with Kayla, her young daughter shouted "Calvin! We missed you!" and he bounded into the house where the kids surrounded him with love. Can you imagine leaving your beloved pup in a better scenario? I always like getting pictures when we're apart, but the one of him curled up napping with a gentle 5-year-old absolutely melted my heart. Again he came home cleaner than he left us, happy to see us but a little bummed to leave her family, too. I just cannot overstate how lucky we feel to have found Kayla--a great communicator, true animal lover and total pro.
