I am a responsible animal lover, owner and enthusiast. I have experience with walking dogs and housesitting cats and dogs, from one-year-old mini Dachshunds to high energy dogs like German Shepherds and Husky puppies. With every pet I care for, I strive to make sure they are comfortable and gage my interactions based on their individual needs and energy. Every pet is different and deserves personalized care to feel at ease, especially with new friendly faces. One of my main hobbies has been caring for and hanging out with my sweet 15-year-old yellow Labrador Retriever. He has been a part of our family since the day he was born in our laundry room, as his mom (who we also owned) had puppies. As he grew older, he had bad hips and his stomach didn't tolerate dog food like it used to, so I have experience with cooking G.I.-track friendly dog food, cleaning up indoor and outdoor potty accidents of all sorts (once a dog, twice a puppy) and knowing how long of walks elderly dogs can tolerate depending on the day and how they are feeling. He recently passed away due to old age, but I'm so thankful for the 15 years of happiness he shared with our family. I love being a Rover sitter because I get to make new furry friends and because of the joy I feel when I am around animals. I will apply the same care and attention to detail to your pets that I have to my own, making your time away from them as calming as possible.
