Hello! My name is Katie and my boyfriend’s name is John. We live together a short drive away from Disneyland. Our place would be a perfect spot to drop off your pet for day care or boarding while you spend your day at Disney! Our place is also perfect for new puppies or any dogs who do not get along well with other dogs. We do not have many pet owners in my neighborhood and typically do not run into anyone while on walks. We only accept one booking at a time so I can give 100% attention to your pup! We absolutely love dogs but we do not have one ourselves. We’ve both had dogs growing up with our families so we understand the responsibilities and needs of caring for a pet. I have also lived with roommates who had dogs and would dog sit while they were at work or out of town. About us: Katie’s hobbies include training for a half marathon and taking Pilates classes. I love going on runs exploring different trails/parks and Pilates studios all over the OC area! If I’m not at the gym, I am usually home watching tv, reading a book, or doing a puzzle. John’s hobbies is playing basketball and watching sports. John is part of a basketball league in OC and at our local gym. We are both home bodies so we usually spend our weekends curled up on the couch - hopefully with a dog!

Katie and John took amazing care of my dog Luna. She is a shy dog who has and I always get nervous leaving her with new people. Katie really eased my worries during drop off. Check ins with photos helped calm my nerves as I was away for the day. I loved seeing that Luna felt comfortable enough to snuggle up on the couch with both Katie and John. Great communication and I genuinely felt their love for dogs! ❤️

We have a fenced in back yard and a wide open front yard. We also have a pool in the back yard. We do not have a doggy door so there is someone always outside and keeping an eye out if we let dogs in the back yard. Typically we only do so for them to have more space to run around but like taking walks for potty breaks. We have not had any incidents with dogs getting in the pool. We are able to fit a crate easily in our living room. We live in a small neighborhood with plenty of sidewalks to roam around. Our neighborhood does not have many dog owners. We typically do not run into anyone during walks. Our place would be perfect for new puppies or any dogs who cannot be near other dogs. I will try to send frequent amount of photos and videos with details of our day so you know exactly what your dog is up to. My level of communication is based on your preference. Please let me know how often you’d like to check in. I will send a photo or video with all check in. However, I try to be cognizant of your fun day at Disney or your weekend getaway so do not want to bombard you with texts if that is not your communication style!

We do not have experience caring for special needs dogs but we are willing to follow any instructions and directions provided. Since we do not have any pets, we do not have any pet supplies on hand. We would need a dog bag packed with daily necessities for your dog including doggy bags, toys, treats, etc.
A typical day
A typical day with your dog would include an initial walk around the neighborhood so your dog can start warming up to me. Then either resting or playing fetch around the living room and kitchen area. On a nice day, I like sitting on our lounge chair in the backyard while watching the dogs run around the backyard sniffing all our bushes. For puppies, I love being able to teach them new tricks or go over existing learned tricks. I am not a dog trainer but have been loving watching dog trainings videos and get excited when I get to reward dogs for their good behavior :)

Availability
I currently work full time in an office - 4 days a week with 3 days off (Thursday - Saturday). John works from home full time and sometimes travels for work. We do not accept bookings when John is traveling since I am not home during the day. John will usually be the main care giver for your dog, and I am just the account manager :) John’s parents also live with us. They are retired seniors that we help care for. They are typically home all day and help us with either ensuring the dog’s water/food bowl is full or just sitting with them on the couch if we run to the gym or on an errand. There is usually someone home 24/7 with the dog in case of any emergency.
