I've been known to make myself late to serious engagements because I'm trying to save a stray pup... My family consists of my husband and myself, as well as our 4 year old and 9 month old daughters. I would like to know about your pets history with children for this reason. If it is an "aggressive" breed dog, that's ok, but I will make arrangements for my kids to be in a separate area of the house for the evening, just to be safe. We have a 6 year old spayed female chihuahua, Lola, who was my first baby, and is absolutely spoiled. She is extremely well behaved, loves everyone, and a total "dogs dog." She can't wait to meet your pooch! Because of my family and the other dogs that might also be in my care during your stay, I will suggest looking for another sitter if your dog shows aggression towards pets or people. Lola refuses to sit on the floor, and demands to sleep under the blankets with mommy, so of course your pet is welcome to share the love in the same way. If your pup is not given this privilege at home and you would prefer me to not allow couch surfing, I would be happy to ignore those weepy puppy dog eyes. We live in a very quaint, desirable neighborhood with beautiful tree lined streets, great for doggy walks if your dog is leash trained. I can't say I'm too into being thrashed around while tied to an animal 1/2 my weight :) If your guy or girl is not a walker, or you would prefer us to stay home, we have a great backyard sure to please your hound. Lastly, I ask that your pet be housebroken or you at least give me a heads up about where he/she is in the potty training process. Accidents happen, but preparation is key to limiting such incidents. I do charge $5 extra for puppies for this reason. Also, if your male companion is not neutered, please be honest with me about his tendencies (if any) to mark things.
