Pet care experience
I have a love for dogs and I have had small to large breeds. 30+ years of being a mom to various dog breeds. I was involved in breeding, training and showing German Shepherd dogs between 2006 and 2018. I paused my hosting services in 2022 to focus on retirement, family, hobbies and health. And now in 2023, I am excited about hosting again! :-) Here are a few items that are very important: (1) Your pet must have VACCINATIONS to stay with me. It is important to me that dogs staying or living with me are healthy and protected by vaccines. When booking a reservation with me, I require verification of shot records from your vet. Specifically, all dogs must be fully vaccinated plus Influenza (2 shot series). (2) SAFETY COMES FIRST!: My goal is to ensure that your dog has a great experience at my house while you have a great time on vacation or while on business trip where you must be productive and be worry free. Dogs that stay with me do NOT have play time with dogs outside of their immediate family pack. The social time they receive is with me. :-) This supports a hosting environment safe from accidents or mishaps that most likely will occur when multiple dogs from various families or backgrounds run together. My philosophy as a host, mirrors what I expect when I board my own dogs. Now...on to the fun stuff....!! :-) DURING THE DAY: Dogs that stay with me will have play time and nap time. When I am home, they will have access to the house, sun room and backyard. Basically, they can hang out where they want to! We will all take a nap during the day to help balance out the stay. :-) When I am not home, they will be in their own secured dog run - see sizes below. Being in a dog run is for their own safety. Each dog run has a large dog house with a cushy pad, water, & blanket. Each dog run has a roof to protect from sun and rain. When it is warm, each run has a fan running outside to provide a nice breeze and water misters are on a timer. During the winter, I prepare each run to ensure a dry, safe and nice comfortable environment. However, if the weather is bad, they are inside the house with me! :-). When outside, they can enjoy watching the birds, fence running with each other and getting fresh air and mental stimulation. When I take a nap, everyone takes a nap :-). Naps are important to help promote a great healthy balance. I go overboard in making sure all dogs are HAPPY. What I do for your dog(s) will be the exact same thing I do for my dogs. Nothing but the best for everyone! Everyone sleeps INSIDE THE HOUSE AT NIGHT! I have overside dog crates and I can convert my kitchen to accommodate old dogs that need the space to stretch out. The dog run size depends on the dog. I have a 6' x 20', 10' x 14' and a 8' x 32' . A dog with high energy or that are large will be in the longer run. A picture is on my site of the 6' x 20'. I have a security system installed and I have double gates securing the yard in the event the wind is blowing and fences are re-enforced. My dogs are my kids and over the years, I have designed my living space to be their living space. BED TIME: At bed time, dogs will always be brought into the house at night to sleep in their individual oversized crate. These are larger than typical wire crates for the size of the dog. Each has a padded blanket or quilt and a top cover that provides the feeling of a cave. If they have a buddy that is staying with me, they will stay in their own room in order to have more space. If you have a big dog bed that your dog likes sleeping on, they will sleep in their own room since this provides the space needed. RECOMMENDATIONS: I have had dogs at my house that belong to other people for over 20 years. My official dog sitting activities or hosting activities started in 2015. Please see my site as all are posted there. The Rover system supports you uploading a picture of your vaccine records. Please submit this when you make your reservation with me :-) - I would greatly appreciate it! :-) SPECIAL CARE NEEDS: If your dog needs medications, eye drops or any other type of special care needs, let me know what those are. My desire is to make sure your dog's needs are met during their stay with me. Please share with me during the booking request, all medical conditions that you are managing. I cannot host a dog that has a condition that medical condition is contagious. Do you feed RAW or have a specific diet for your dog? That is O.K! I am able to prepare what is needed a long as you provide the ingredients and instructions. VIDEO and PICTURES will be sent to you in the morning and in the evening, if you wish to have status of how things are going during the stay. :-)
Reviews
Would absolutely recommend, lots of updates and our dog had a great time
Kathy took wonderful care of our 2 year old German Shepherd during our recent trip. Naya seemed very comfortable and happy during her stay. Kathy sent multiple pictures and videos throughout the stay which put us at ease. She is a true professional, great with the dog, and very accommodating! Thanks so much!
Kathy took great care of our Border Collie! She was very communicative which put us at ease throughout the stay.
Took care my dog for one day. Really good sitter. Sent me lots of pics and videos. Very clean and comfortable environment. Will on board another one week. Thanks.

The breeds I cannot host are 100% pure PitBull, Wolf hybrid or Cane Corso. I am also unable to host dogs that are 'extreme barkers' due to having an unusually high degree of separation anxiety.
A typical day
Days are filled with cookies, getting a good brushing, playing ball and/or taking a nap for a bit of down time. A short walk might even be in order, if the weather is good (not too cold or too hot). Nights are filled with calming down and getting ready for a good sleep inside the house.
